Brevilles original is made of a plastic like material. When you are spending almost 3k on an espresso machine, installing a part that would cost additional 20 to the price to have something permanent would make sence to me.I have been using my Breville Oricle Touch several times a day with this installed and it has been working great.I will update this review in the future if anything is to change.

When my portafilter became difficult to insert, I decided I needed to replace the gasket around the shower head. In order to do so, I had to remove the shower screen and holder. When I did this, I found the holder was cracked in two. (See pic) This Stainless Steel Inner Shower Screen Holder was exactly what I needed. It comes neatly packaged and includes a hex screw and wrench as well. It was easy to reassemble and now the espresso shots are flowing consistently. To be honest, I’m surprised that in an expensive machine like the Breville Oracle Touch that the OEM part was hard plastic. I’d highly recommend that owners of Breville machines inspect this part and even if it isn’t cracked, replace it with this stainless steel part.
