These units work really well. The data collection and presentation is easy to access and understand the history of temperature and humidity.

I put these in my attic and crawl space and they work every time. The range is not an issue as it has no problem reading through walls floors and ceiling. House is 3000 square feet. I even bought 3 more to cover more areas. They are small enough to basically hang anywhere and they stay out of the way. They only transmit every 10 minutes or so to preserve battery life. The stock batteries actually work very well but I put lithium batteries in them due to our cold outdoor temperatures (freezing or below all winter).

These work OK as far as I can tell. But while the pool sensors that use a different gateway work fine with Alexa after linking the Govee Home skill, these sensors with this do not. They will show up in the Alexa app but she will not respond to verbal requests for the temperature readings. Hope they will fix this soon. update: Govee were kind enough to reach out and offer a refund. The specifics on my situation are that I’m using the IOS app. Within the Alexa app, for these, I can see humidity reported, but not temperature. However, verbally Alexa will not report either humidity or temperature. Since they have it working with the pool thermometers hopefully it’s just a matter of time that their dev team takes a look and gets it working for these as well.

I picked this up to tie in a Govee Bluetooth temperature / humidity sensor I use in my humidor. This made it possible to view this and other Govee sensors remotely; along with tie in automation to notify me of changes. Super simple to setup with the Govee app. The sensors track humidity and temperature for years at a time (if you want).

Govee makes an excellent product. These temperature sensors are excellent and I actually use them quite a bit. I am an engineer, specializing in thermodynamics and refrigeration. I’m a temperature sensor junkie and these work really well. Just stick them on something in the shade and they do well. Do not stick them in the sun as they do heat up and the temperature is thrown off. Very accurate according to my Scientific thermometers. I get about a year life out of a good alkaline battery, not the cheap ones that are in it. Sometimes I have a little problem, connecting them and basically just have to start over.

I was enjoying this device with my three sensors spaced out around my property until today when I tried to set it up on my tablet. Most of my home connectivity apps just require me to login and then I have all of the settings available for my account but this doesn't work that way. I downloaded the app and then there was no login so it asked me to add a device, I added my control center thing that is plugged in my house, but then it wanted me to pair all of the sensors again!!!!! That is ridiculous! So now I am supposed to go out on my property and get all of the sensors, bring them to the house to pair them again, and then put them back out around my property???? That is for the birds, wast of money. Once they are paired they should remain paired and I should have an account that brings them all up on any device! NOT only that, when I went to view them on my original device (my phone) now THEY ARE ALL GONE!!! SO DUMB. I do not have time to read instructions and go through all of the setup all over again. Now they are completely useless.

I had an older Govee 3 thermometer/hygrometer set, but could not add sensors to it. Plus, it was a pain to pair the sensors with the gateway. When one of the sensors died after 4 years of use, I decided to go back to Govee, and get a gateway and sensor set that I could add sensors to and expand to different areas. This is a major upgrade from Govee, which I already liked as a brand. The sensors are much easier to pair with the gateway, and it will take up to 30 sensors. While I did not add 27 more sensors, I did add 6 more for 9 total. So far, it is behaving well, and the app is behaving as well as before. I can reoder the sensors on the app, so the ones I need to check most freguently are listed at the top of the order. Overall, this is a great set and brand for wifi thermometer/hygrometer, and I have absolutely no qualms in recommending it.

Meets my expectations! I feel comfortable leaving my home for a couple of days, during a cold snap, as I can easily check my home’s interior temperature via the GoveeLife app. Good value for the money! I wish it sent an email text alert instead of an email alert. It still meets my needs. I recommend the product.
