York Fitness Leather Weightlifting Belt

Just ordered it the other day and it comes straight away, so great service there.I've grown up with York products, over the years and so it was a no brainer, some 18 months ago when I REALLY started to hit the iron, to use their dumbbells, barbells and free weights. I graduated to a top quality bench and, as I have stared to use heavier weights and lower reps, and having back issues and injuries in the past, decided on a weight belt to give me some support.And support it does! Have started using it in my workouts and although it feels odd, initially, I know that it's there for protection.It feels sturdy (what a crazily big box it came in!) and looks well made.A good product and one that'll last my lifetime....at least!

I've been lifting for some time and never used a belt but decided to start with a low price one to see how it went. This was the cheapest I found. Delivery was more expensive, but to be fair it turned up the next day and well packaged. The belt itself is great. Good thick leather, padded well and with a strong buckle. The only issue I had was that the buckle was so stiff to start with I've had to have help getting in and out of it! It will need some working to become looser.

I’m really pleased with the belt, it feels like it is made of excellent quality materials, nice padded rear that is not too bulky but helps on the lower back, it looks pretty good too.Sizing, be careful. I'm a constant size 34" waist in all shops and clothing types yet when I bought the recommended size for a 34" waist (large) I found it to be way too small and had to send it back; I like to have at least two belt holes free when I wear a belt and I had none. The retailer exchanged the belt no problem which was great but if you are buying the belt be careful with the sizing, I’ve ended up with the 2X-large which is great and as a good few extra belt holes.

Great for when your online for long periods of time. when you lean forward alot to type and to see, THEN that lower back goes.. Well that belt stops that, giving support Its like having a back of an arm chair stuck to your back ... and great for walking out in those snowy/muddy conditions protecting your back, in case you slip or the dog pulls you over ...My mate always wears one to work shifting heavy loads. Who needs a bad back? eh ... Gonna start doing the gym soon - So really its all purpose belt...but it is hard to get off at first.. honestly you just don't wanna take it off. Slept in mine when i first got it ... lol FIT FOR EVERYTHING :-)

Although cheap this belt is very poorly made. I could overlook the fact it arrived covered in mould if it was any good. The main part of the belt and padded suede lining were okay but the leather loop holding the buckle to the belt was thin and poorly riveted to the main belt. The main problem were the prongs on the buckle. They are badly shaped and as previous reviews have stated make it virtually impossible to take the belt off and very difficult putting it on. I cannot believe a reputable company like York have marketed such a shoddy product. Surely they must have some sort of quality control that should have picked up this terrible design fault.I made the mistake of not taking the previous reviews seriously, thinking it couldn't be that bad but now realise it is. I also checked the same belt in Argos and saw that it was exactly the same.I have been weight training for over 25yrs and have used belts extensively in the past so take my advice and steer clear of this one.

Both the belt and the wrist straps are fantastic and are great value for money .The wrist straps , unlike other conventional straps with the anchor which goes over the thumb are comfortable to wear and having had a back op with a fixation of L4 and L5 and a bulging discs at L3 and L4 and L5and S1 the belt is broad enough at the back to give me the support I need while being comfortable to wear at the same time .

one of the best out there. The only problem is that it leaves a print u have to clean after wearing it on anything. Other than that the product is great and comfortable for working out.

Great belt, a bit stiffer then my Weider previous belt but that was 10 plus years old. Worth every penny. does the job. I found the medium is fine for a 34 inch waist, which is about 3 or four notches in. So I would guess 30 - 42 inch waist would be ok for this size.
