Finally, a great wok-pan!
Got tired of replacing pans and woks that only last a year. This wok has no protective coating but is "non stick". Heats up fast, cooks evenly and is easy to clean. What's not to love?

Get better tasting food using less heat in an easy to clean wok.
I decided that 53 years old that I wanted to learn how to cook better. Now, in my opinion, nothing sets the stage for a good time like great equipment. The dot-clad system is "wipe it away" easy to clean. We use a gas range and save on natural gas always cooking on low to medium high heat, at a maximum. There's really no reason to use high heat/max flame with this lock unless you're intentionally trying to seer something. That being said, a flat cast iron griddle lives on my stove top, so I do my searing there. Overall, the aesthetic extra fantastic, the dot-clad system works really well and is super easy to clean, as long as you do it right after you eat, giving it some time to cool off. I never, never, never rinse a scalding hot pan or wok with lukewarm water. Physics are a thing, and that will work the cr@p out of your frying pan or wok. The see-through lid with the steam vent hole is sturdy, and the handle does not heat up. Overall, I think this is a fantastic wok, with clean aesthetics, awesome functionality, and super easy to clean. In my opinion, they nailed it. This wok is definitely worth the money.

Amazing Wok — Worth Every Penny
I’m beyond impressed with my Dotclad wok pan. From the moment I took it out of the box, it felt premium — solid build, perfect weight, and a sleek design that looks great on the stovetop. But the real magic is in the cooking. This wok heats up fast and evenly, which makes stir-fries come out restaurant-quality. The nonstick performance is outstanding — veggies stay crisp, proteins get a perfect sear, and nothing sticks, even with minimal oil. Cleanup is unbelievably easy; a quick rinse and wipe is all it takes. The pan also feels incredibly durable. No warping, no scratching, and the handle stays cool and comfortable while cooking. It’s become my go-to pan for everything from fried rice to noodles to quick sauté dishes. If you’re on the fence: just get it. The Dotclad wok pan is a total game changer and genuinely deserves the full five stars.

Great Wok
Love this pan. Heavy duty and nothing sticks. I make a lot of stir fries and was worried about nonstick coating on my old wok. This pan is easy to use and easy to clean. The handle is metal but does not get too hot to hold.

Nice and not nice, depending on your needs.
Updated Review 8/330/24: Gave 1 more star and WOULD definitely recommend this Wok. Changed the way I felt about how this Wok functioned after using BUTTER instead of olive oil. I made Fideo. Onions went golden very nicely, Fideo noodles browned up by the time they were sautéed. Took very little time to toast chili powder when added to sautéed noodles, also, the alternating addition of tomato sauce and chicken broth needed the heat raised and lowered over and over. The Wok Changed with the heat changes instantly. Also, that is the double fire ring "hot burner" on my gas stove. I was able to hold that long handle the entire time and it was cold under my bare hand the entire time. This is now my favorite Wok for making Fideo. I will not use olive oil again in the Wok. I added the picture of the shrimp I did the first time, in olive oil, that did not brown at all. So, now, the only Con is the lid. Original review: The pros: 1. The wok is very pretty. 2. It functions like a pan at medium heat. 3. The handles stay cool. 4. It cleans up well, with careful effort. I saw "scratch marks" where I stirred around in bottom portion of the wok, making the "dot clad" design disappear. I thought that was awful on the first use. When I rubbed more, with a soft and soapy, good sponge, the design reappeared. So, obviously, you need to wash it gently and firmly to remove food and oil from the design indentations. 5. It is large enough to cook a portion for a family. The Cons: 1. The Wok is not going to function as a wok for stirfry at that heat. It did not get hot enough to put a sear on large, dried off, shrimp, at medium heat. I used a small amount of olive oil. I think it would do better with Avocado or vegtable oil. 2. You have to give attention to thorough washing to get everything out of the design indentation. 3. The LID is Miserable to wash. Like the other wok I bought at the same time, water AND soap gets into the channel of the lid and is TRAPPED there. You have to run more water over the glass until the soap disappears from the channel where glass and metal are indented, then, once the soap is gone, you have to spend a fair amount of time with a dry paper towel, pressing the towel firmly at the seam of glass and metal, on the top of the lid, until you get all the water absorbed by the paper towel. The water doesn't "shake" out. It doesn't dribble out standing upright because, of course, it is stuck in that channel. You can turn the lid and whe puddle if water simply rolls with the lid and settles as a puddle when you stop moving the lid. 4. If you don't get the water out of that channel, it is going to get nasty and if you use the lid while cooking, the nasty water will drip into your food. 5. I did not try blow drying the lid or using the back end of a hand held vacuum sealer to try blowing out the water. In either case, having to do that is ridiculous. Would I recommend the Wok? Yes, No, and, Maybe. The Wok itself, Maybe, if you don't need high heat in your style of stirfrying. The Wok if using Avocado oil or other higher smoke point oils hive better result, then, yes. If you need to use the lid while cooking, then, it is a big, fat "NO" because, the lid is horrible to wash and get the water out of the channel where glass and metal meet, and that is just wrong. For reference, the metal and glass lid for the Instapot, and, the metal and glass lids for my other, more expensive, cookware, do NOT have water seeping under the metal rim and getting stuck between the glass and metal.

Great wok
If you let this wok heat up for about 2 or 3 minutes at high medium or medium heat with a little oil, you will get a great sear on anything you put in it. This wok really heats evenly, and while sometimes a bit of fond will stick, it is non-stick. The wok washes off easily, especially if you put a little water in it to sit before scrubbing. Some reviewer noted that the exposed stainless rim gets a little brown, but I have found the brown comes off easily. The after service is great too if you’ve got questions or need help. It’s just that you have to reach the company through the Amazon app. If you write directly to Dot Clad, or try to call, you emails will be returned, and your calls will not get through to a retail service person. I am really happy with this pan. And now I don’t have to have a dirty looking, burnt wok to put away in my pan draw.

Great product. Used it just once so far, made some Chinese dishes, no sticking to the pan, and flavors turned out well. Follow its use instructions, should not be cooked on very high heat. We use it for ceramic hob stove and works well.
