TechMatte Multi-Angle iPad Pro Stand-Aluminum Desktop Tablet Holder (Silver)

I was searching for a portable stand for my ASUS MB169+ portable 15.6 monitor for a while. I purchase the small plastic fold out legs model that works good and also very inexpensive. This aluminum portable stand cost slightly more and still reasonable priced. The flap moves smoothly and the tension is strong enough to hold my 15.6 portable monitor in any position. This works great also on my 2017 iPad Pro 12.6. I would recommend and hope the tension on the flaps holds well for a long time. 5 STARS!

This item is sturdy and compact and works very well. Can use it with iPad horizontal or vertical. My iPad has a somewhat bulky case with a round hand-holding device in the middle--I was concerned that any stand would not hold my device because of how it juts out in the back, and I was concerned that the lip on the stand wouldn't hold it but that is not the case with the TechMatte stand. The low profile helps with this. It is easy to type when iPad is in the stand and doesn't slide at all. When not in use, the back folds next to the front making it sleek for storage and it is so small and looks good that I just keep on my desk when not in use. An excellent design and I highly recommend.

This all aluminum stand is solid, and an overkill for an iPad Air. While it can be folded nearly flat, it is not flimsy. Other viewers note the inability to plug in the lightning cable when the iPad is placed on this stand vertically. However, to accommodate that, you would need a stand that does not fold flat (bulky) or a stand that has two hinges (less solid). Since I use my iPad Air horizontally and require portability, this stand appears to be the best reasonably priced solution. Loses one star because it rocks ever so slightly when opened and deployed.

Just received, and so far it seems sturdy and able to support my iPad Pro 12.9” no problem, albeit at a slightly more tilted angle than the prior TechMatte I had which had a different mechanism for the tilting hinge.The new hinge moves smoothly, whereas the last one requires depressing a button to adjust the supporting piece.I’m hopeful that the TechMatte engineers designed the new hinge to last longer that the prior one, which broke after a year.Still I only paid $13 for the last one, and used it every day and was quite happy with it.

This is a must-have for me as I am on my iPad Pro (larger size) a lot and this stand makes it easy to use a keyboard, read, etc., without having to hold the device too close. The stand is so much better than the older types that had springs in them (those types would fail in around a year and then fall flat/not hold a shape). This one is very well built. We have 2 in use, one of which we've had 4 years- the older one is still in great shape!

Delightful stand, exactly what I wanted! Holds my iPad and does a much better job than my left hand! As a senior, my hand was getting cramps from holding the iPad, now I use the stand on my nightstand and it’s terrific. Also terrific for when I cook; the iPad is much easier to read on the counter than lying flat! And watching my grandson’s football games on ESPN+ .... as I don’t have cable! Great product, wish I had gotten it sooner!

I did not expect this to feel that secure with my gigantic Ipad Pro, but it does! It is incredibly versatile as you can use the flap in all kinds of angles, from almost flat on tables (drawing) to have it propped up over your knees when sitting on the sofa. I love it and hope it will last a long time. The tension is just right, not loose but not so hard someone with problems with strength might have problems rotating the flap.

I bought this to use with my iPad since my daughter had one she really liked that she used for years. We couldn't find that stand anymore, and this one seemed comparable. However, it was very short compared to hers. She liked it so we swapped. She said it was heavier and sturdier than hers, plus she liked that it can adjust 360 degrees in any angle. I like her taller and lighter one.
