I have several greenworks 80v garden tools. This is a good handy effective tool that shares the same battery and charger.

This is not only better than my other battery trimmer it’s more powerful than my plug in electric trimmer

A lightweight powerful beast
I am blown away by this trimmer. I had several bushes that had grown really tall and needed to be cut down to waist height. That meant I would need to cut through some fairly thick branches as I cut lower. The Greenworks trimmer cut through even thick branches effortlessly, which really surprised (and gratified) me. And after I had cut a pretty large pile of brush, I tried on a whim to essentially use the trimmer as a chipper on the pile – and it worked great! This made it much easier to stuff the trimmings into the lawn bags.The battery life has really impressed me, too. I have been able to use the battery almost continuously for 30-45 minutes on a single charge.

Works Great, But Somewhat Heavy!
Let me start off by saying that, if you're a strong, fit individual, you're going to love this trimmer. It works really well. It cuts very clean. It is a bit noisy and, while hearing protection isn't a must, I was inclined to use it (I'm a musician and the health of my hearing is paramount). However, if you're 60+ yrs old and out of shape, you're in for a workout. Caveat: I did use my heavier 4 AH battery, instead of the supplied smaller 2AH battery, but it still would have been a workout. Thankfully, I don't need to use this trimmer but just a few times per year. If you're a short, elderly or weak individual, this may not be your best choice, as it does require a degree of physical strength to operate.

I own all the home outdoor greenworks products.
I liked my GW lawnmower so much that I bought all the rest of GW line up of tools. I choose the 80V battery models for convenience and power. It is so nice not to have to run to gas station for gas and oil all the time. It is also nice not to have to worry about buying gas saver every year and winterizing my yard tools. I highly reccomend GW products.
