I use these to protect my Canon Speedlite EL-5 and Canon ST-E10 transmitter. They also have a hole for a wrist loop or split ring, so I put small tethers on them to keep track of them.

Since I lost the original hot shoe cover for my R6 mk ii it was great to find a perfect fit replacement. It doesn't hurt that there are extras in the package if I lose another one.
