I finally got to use it today! A week after I got it through the door. Anyway, this is to tin openers what the Germans are to cars. Effortless in action, easily effective and without fuss or need for readjustment. Makes me wish I'd bought this much sooner as my last one was bloody awful! The feel is quality and robust, with the action being well designed and not with any noticeable play or slackness. I realise I sound ridiculous and this is only a tin opener but I really enjoy well engineered things and this is well made and well designed and with results that are satisfying. Also, for the price (£5ish), it's ridonculous. In short, if this is one of your options for a new tin opener, just buy it. Use it, and then enjoy the quiet satisfaction of effortless access to tinned foods.

This is a functional well made can opener which is easy to use, you just open the arms , engage the rim of the tin, close, squeeze the arms together and wind the key clockwise as the blade slices the tin lid open. The tin lid comes off with a minimum of jagged edges. The handles give a good easy grip. The can opener is of a good weight, looks stylish in bright chromed steel with matt black plastic handles. It seems sturdy and fit for purpose. The instructions are to handwash it after use and dry it before storage. Comes with a bottle opener attachment. My only gripe is you have to separate the tin from the device and fish out the tin lids as there is no magnet to do this and I sprayed my clean top with tuna juice on my first use! My reason for buying this was that my electric can opener is fussy about opening non standard tins with deep rims or square tins so this one is a backup and one to take out on camping trips. Very good value for the money, came quickly in a multi packed order.

Its a little bit rickety, the handles sort of aren't very affirmative and the plastic feels very shatterable. But it opens a good can so I cant fault it for its intended purpose

Absolutely useless. Couldn't get it to open a single can of anything. The cog wheels just skiped and sliped instead of rotating the can. No amount of adjusting the angle or pressure seemed to help. We tried really hard to get it to work over the course of a whole week, but in the end we got a refund and bought the excellent OXO opener instead.

Opening with ease! This went immediately into use opening a olive oil can. It's not designed for this but worked great!
