Hello, as far as we know, Westhouse igen 160 is a gasoline engine. Should we use the solar panel.

I am not sure if you have cords missing, but mine came with several. One to link to another solar panel of the same type, and one to plug into a portable generator. The description on the Amazon page is very detailed and should answer your question. You can also plug in several devices directly to the USB inputs (you need to use the device cable) to charge them from this solar panel.

Most stations require 14 volts input. Be sure that the power station is not looking at 36 amps or 36 watts. Read the manual. If you want 36 volts you have to hook your solar panels in series rather than in parallel. That means + to - and - to +. Check with the manufacturer or a knowledgeable friend to see what the actual requirement is. Most power stations require 14 volts +/- half a volt to be recharged. Military power stations often use 24V or 28V systems.
