Creates creamy ice cream!
It's pricy but I make my ice cream with almond milk, eggs and just a little of heavy cream. With this added you'd never guess. So much healthier and still tasty.

This works great for thickening homemade ice cream. Use sparingly though. 1/8 th teaspoon is enough in your recipe for an ice cream machine.

Please be careful opening
The product is fine. However, when I opened it, there was a ton of pressure and the Tara gum burst into my face and got into my eyes and I was extremely miserable for a couple of days. Please be extremely careful when opening this product. And there will be some waste from the burst of pressure.

Tara Gum for Thickening in Baking and Ice Cream
This is a nice powder of Tara Gum to help improve the quality of baking foods. The cake I baked was always too crumbly that lack of bounding. I ordered this product intend to improve the texture. As what I have expected, Tara gum helps bind everything together and improves the viscosity of the mix. The cake has more moisture. The product is in a small bottle. You can take out a little as needed. Out of guess work, I used very little, for about half a gram per pound of flour. There is no instruction on the bottle, but I just mix the dry additives like sugar and salt before adding water. In the summer, I’ll use this tara gum to make ice cream.

Great thickener option for people looking into low-carb
It doesn’t take much, so this little bottle will last quite a long time. I know most reviews talk about using it to make ice cream, but I got it for my smoothies. I use almond milk and sometimes I just want my smoothies to feel more like unhealthy milkshakes! Like I said, a little goes a long way. Flavor isn’t affected, and it’s gluten free and low-carb.
