Tasty and lightweight.
Rather tasty for MRE definitely high in salt but you will be burning those calories and sweating that salt out. This and the beef hotpot are my go to dry rations.

Expensive but Yummy
I purchased these for my sons DofE Silver expedition as when they came back from their practice the team came back and complained about feeling hungry. Having used freeze dried expedition food before i knew immediately what was needed. I personally haven't used expedition food before and brought a spare to show my son how to prepare the meals and was pleasantly surprised with how good it tasted.Carbonara Version was the top rate followed by Bolognese and then Hotpot. They are expensive but if space and weight is a factor when backpacking then go for it.

Great trail fuel
It's pretty good and very filling.Don't add quite as much water as recommended as it will be very sloppy.Slightly weird herb taste but not unpleasant.
