INNOVA Disc Golf - DX ROC Mid-Range (178-180g)

This has been my go-to midrange disc for over 20 years. It goes where you aim it--left, right, or straight. It's also a pretty good disc for a tailwind drive.

I know this is largely considered a staple disc, but...well... I should have gotten a Shark. Similar flights, cooler name. Also I got a white one, and I tend to buy super bright colors only for mids. Whites and dull yellows disappear in dandelion country.That being said, if there's a better deal in DG than Amazon's "open box" discs (They don't come in boxes), I haven't seen it. I bag them as burners because there are some nasty hazards in the Mudwest, and I'm legit bad at DG. You can't often buy them this cheap, shipped to your door. If I lose it, NBD; I wasn't fully invested anyway. 4 stars, easy, but it'll never be Shark Week every week in your bag.

thanks Point Of Impact ! great disc the roc dx is perfect for everyone as a stable slightly overstable midrange disc , beginner friendly in lighter weights maybe try a 140-150 gram careful in the wind as lighter weights will fly off course. the roc flys straight with more fade and the end of its flight compared to a shark ( another awesome disc ) try dx plastic over time this plastic will be come less stable turning more right for Right Hand Backhand(RHBH) as they say. heavy weights like 180 grams will naturally fight to go left for rhbh peeps , just reverse for LHBH try the roc awesome disc enjoy !

My favorite midrange disc and was excited for the disc to arrive. I ripped open the package and immediately noticed it was scratched and dinged up on the top and bottom. I may be a little picky since we throw these outside but I want to be the one putting the use on it…. especially when it’s supposed to be a new disc. Feel bad giving it a negative review and if it was any other disc it would have been a zero.

I am an Unsponsored Disc Golf Pro and though this is considered a "beginners" disc I have several of these disc, They are a great addition to any Disc Golf bag. They have predictable Flight path and a disc I recommend for beginners to throw and learn with. I and several other professional ranked players actually bag this exact disc and throw it regularly on the course. You Cannot Go wrong with a Innova ROC disc even from the first day playing.

Great disc for straight approach shots. It also works well for skip shots. I’ve seen the pros using this too. Some reviews complain about the cheaper DX plastic, but that is better for beginners because it is more “understable” and will stay straighter.

It never fails that Amazon sends terrible colors. I should have learned this lesson, but I had to pick a Christmas gift and didn't want to send my wife to the disc golf store. I don't know if Amazon just orders variations of white discs, but that's about all I've gotten from them. Great disc tho!

The disc arrived with scuff marks on it. I prefer to be the first one who puts scuff marks on my discs.

If you are a beginner like me, order a lower weight disc, the flight is great. I got a bright orange color, so pretty happy with it.
