As you can see in the picture, I had to cut out a chunk of the door frame to fit the locks receiving bracket.Why is that a problem?Well, there is an Allen nut on the top to hold the sliding in, internal bracket. The problem is, if you have to recess the external mount, that you then screw in place, you can no longer get to the Allen nut because it’s directly on the top. You can’t install the internal bit first because you then couldn’t get to the screw holes!The answer would be to have the Allen nuts on the upper or lower front.I just used some double sided tape to hold it in place. It’s only to stop it sliding side to side.Otherwise this is perfect! Shame about the design flaw

After a bit of searching, I came across this heavy-duty slide latch lock, and it instantly caught my eye with its stylish, modern design.Upon arrival, the lock was neatly packaged and felt impressively strong and solid right out of the box. The installation process was straightforward; the instructions were clear, making it easy to mount the lock to my gate. Although this modern lock is more compact compared to the old one, which resulted in some additional visible holes, a little filling and painting made it look seamless.One of the standout features of this lock is its glow-in-the-dark mechanism that illuminates the sliding bolt, a handy feature for those late nights when you're trying to find the latch in the dark. This thoughtful touch has made it incredibly convenient to use, especially when you need quick access to your property.This lock not only enhanced the overall look of my gate but also its functionality. The operation is smoother than my previous lock, making it easier to lock and unlock, a change that has been pleasantly noted by visitors too.I am very satisfied with this lock's performance and aesthetic appeal. A nice, modern slide lock that is easy to install with only 4 screws and 2 securing pins (which require the included allen key). The 4 screws are for the lock frame, then the male and female sections of the lock body are slid into the frame and secured in place by tightening the pins with the allen key. The good thing about this design is that the screws for the lock frame are hidden by the lock body and therefore not accessible to be dismantled without first removing the lock body. Since the male and female parts of the lock are a close fit, careful alignment of the frame is necessary.Since the lock parts are made from aluminium alloy, I would not describe this as a heavy duty lock, but the materials are durable and it is a good looking, well made slide lock.The BiceNoning Slide Lock is a quality item at a good price.

Not worth the money

I'm very pleased with this.It's got a nice sectional build where you can screw the "holders" for each section to the door/frame without any screws showing once it's in use (and hence it can't be "unbolted" easily).Then you slide the main components into those holders and tighten with an allen key (supplied to lock the parts together. Then the slide-lock can slide into the retainer on the frame with a specically-shaped-barrel.Your alignment has to be good, it won't tolerate much misalignment because of the tight fit and keying of the barrel, but when it is, this is a lovely strong bolt that isn't just going to warp or fall off with a small jolt.Nice styling, good smooth action, very professional looking, and easily fittable and removeable.

A nice modern lock compared to boring slide bolts-This style lock has a nice smooth design and works well. It's easy to install and smooth in operation. The metal finish seems good and that was my main concern. In my experience, anything black scratches easily and goes silver. So far I'm happy to say there are no marks... but only time will tell. Also, it seems well protected from the outdoor elements so should last nicely. For £10, it's pretty good

This is a simple slide lock with a much cleaner/nicer look than the typical chain lock. The metal is on the thick/heavy duty side so it adds an extra layer of security. The actual slide motion is quite good... easy and simple to operate. Installation is with standard wood screws.... very simply so long as the door and frame are flush (as trying to use this slide with any type of angle is not going to work correctly... must remain flat or flush after installation).

This is a lite weight lock that will do the job for doors and sills that are flushed to each other. There are two major parts. Each part is an assembly of items held together with a round screw on the bottom. When I got my lock, one round screw was already in its assembly but the other one was missing. After looking around the product box, I located it. Make sure you find both of these retaining screws before you throw away the box.My door had an elevated sill around it. So to make this lock work, I placed a 1/16'' strip of wood under the assembly that went on the door so that it matched the assembly that was on the sill.The lock looks good. Better than a simple slide bolt.

The media could not be loaded.  After install it's as strong as it looks. I can't get it to flex at all when pulling on it. It was a great cheap quick addition to my ghetto home that previously did not have a way to keep the bathroom door shut.

I got this to be able to lock in place a table leaf that rotates. It does what I needed it to do, it locks the table top prevent it from rotating when I don't want it to and allows me to unlock it and rotate the table top when needed. I just wish the receiver side (female section) was a bit longer so it was more even in length on both sides. I think it would be a bit more stable that way..

It was missing the smaller mounting bracket. Had to return. Frustrating and a waste of my time.
