Not 2500mAh, but closer to 700mAh, as would be exepcted from a 14500 LI-Ion cell. 2.9-4.2V nominal
I originally purchased these are replacements for some dead versions in some rechargeable lights, and they work fine for that. I've adapted them to various other, low current, projects with great success. I have not tried them in high-current applications, like flashlights, but they perform well at low current for me. Also, these are not 2500mAh. They are closer to 700mAh, but I have not done a discharge test, however, they take about 30-40 minutes to charge from dead in my 1A charger. the 14500 size, using Li-Ion would be expected to have 500-800 mAh capacity--again, based on size these are fine. I've been using them in various projects and in the area light I originally purchased them for with no venting or misbehavior. I like that they are easy to differentiate from alkaline/ni-mh cells that have a much lower ICV.

Mis-labelled - not even close to claimed capacity
BUYER BEWARE: These cells claim to be 2500mAH but don't come close. Industry specs for a 14500 cell show ~600 mAh capacity. I just received a new set of these cells, charged them, then selected one and did a discharge test on a LiON capacity tester... 554 mAh - not even remotely what was claimed. What happened to truth in advertising? No where to be found. A prior purchase of 4 of cells some months back has already had an infant failure of 1 of the 4 purchased. It wouldnt charge and wouldn't deliver any voltage. Recycled. Conclusion: - Mislabeled - Quality issue - Cheap and cheerful but get ready for short life

Unsure of quality
In this four pack of batteries one is dead, one holds a good charge, and the other two are somewhere in-between. All four have only been used in the same led flashlight and have uneven battery life.

Batteries are actually around 500 milliamp hours 1/5 of what they're supposedly rated
Batteries do not reflect their capacity they look to be around 500 milliamps a piece. So that's 1/5 what they're supposedly rated as. And the internal resistance is a little high for brand new cells
