Pencil sharpener, single hole (brass) bullet

Not a huge amount you can say about a pencil sharpener but it does feel good in the hand with a solid weight to it. Sharpen’s really well to a nice uniform point. Would buy again if I lost it.

It's only a small pencil sharpener, but it does the job to perfection. Previously, I've used metal sharpeners which were very good, but would sometimes shred ratger than slice the pencil's wood, and sometimes break the lead during sharpening. When I read other reviews regarding this M + R sharpener being the best in the world, I had to buy one and find out if it was true. As soon as it arrived, I tried it out, and was amazed at just how good it truly is. It sharpens smoothly, and produces a perfect point every time. I'm over two years into a resumed study of Latin, and complete all exercises/translations in pencil (essential as you alter/amend/improve awkward or difficult passages. I go through paper and pencils at a rate of knots, and a decent pencil sharpener is almost as essential as an advanced Latin grammar! I was happy with the silver metal sharpener I've been using for years, but this brass sharpener is vastly superior to it, and I'm really pleased that I decided to buy one and see if it was as good as other reviews clain. The answer is that it's nothing short of first rate! You don't need to try any other sharpener, this is the best (and I've used many inferior sharpeners over the years which have made many claims, but rarely lived up to them). The sharpener is solid, sturdy, easy to use, and looks like it will still be in perfect working order long after I have conked out! Replacement blades are available from Amazon in packs of 10, but make sure you order the M + R replacement blades. At the moment Amazon are offering this sharpener along with a circular (double-holed) sharpener and a pack of ten replacement blades for just over £15. Even if you aren't interested in buying both sharpeners (which.I did) this is an easy way of locating the correct replacement blades (which isn't so tough anyway). All in all, an investment I'm happy I made, and I love everything about this sharpener. If you're looking for an excellent sharpener at a decent price, I cannot recommend this one highly enough.

Pencil does not sharpen properly

WOW, WHO COULD GET EXCITED OVER A PENCIL SHARPENERThis really is the best pencil sharpener that I have ever owned, don’t think about buying one, treat yourself and buy one it’s well worth paying a little more. It sharpens your pencils very smoothly and effortless

Very well made, heavy, solid brass and works perfectly. No rough edges as with some cheaper brass items, this has the quality of very similar ones that cost a lot more just because they have a different name on the packaging!

Costs £2.79 to return so I'm not going to bother. But this is rubbish. It doesn't sharpen my pencils properly and I had to throw one away afterwards. I'm absolutely gutted because it was so expensive. It looks nice and feels heavy. But if it isn't for for purpose it isn't. I'm just not sure why it's costing me to take back when it's not my fault it's rubbish
