This is a really nice timer, especially considering the price. The body is heavy glass, while the end caps are plastic, so I am pretty confident it will hold up well. I also appreciated that I could buy just a single one, as opposed to a dozen, etc. like other offers. I mostly use it in the bathroom to time face washing, so it is not super important that it is exactly one minute and I haven't checked it, but it seems accurate. The white sand is a little hard to see against the white countertop/walls, but not a deal breaker.

This was the perfect solution to help my toddler increase his brushing time. We also lucked out with it being his favorite color. Unlike other versions we have had, this one has lasted even after multiple drops in the bathroom!

For the most part, these timers have a fairly accurate time it takes for sand to filter through. Given different variations, it can change slightly, but for the most part, they seem to be as close as they could be to real time. I ordered these to use for homework/school work. My 8yr old seems to do better as far as focusing if he has a timer going. These are like a personalized set just for him and schoolwork. They can obviously be used for more as well. They are a very decent make, although, the 3 minute timer is shorter than the others, and im not sure if its supposed to be, or if its just how it turned out. This really does not bother me, just something I wanted to note for others. They are colorful, which makes them fun, and I would order these again if ever needed. Not a bad set.

These are perfect for kids that need a visual timer. I am a teacher and I know some kids work really well with a visual timer. I love all of the different time options and the color of sand. They are very well made and I feel it would be very hard to break them on accident. These are exactly what I wanted.
