Ease to assemble and set up, great adjustability and cooling
I have purchased several Dreo fans and ceiling fan and now the 12k BTU portable air conditioner. The ease of assembly and set up and the app is easy to use and the information displayed in the app is great. The unit works very well. I purchased this unit to cool my master bedroom down so I would not have to set the whole house to 65 degrees. The unit works great and is very quiet, even on high. You can either use the remote or bark commands at Alexa or Google or just use the app on your phone. Definitely would recommend purchasing this unit if you are looking for a portable AC.

Peak
I've gone through several units (currently living in Tucson summers) and this thing has been a dream. Actual functional cooling over a space, compressor works great, comes with a hose for the excess water (the drip pan is very small and not included). Several modes, blows very strong and etc.The real MVP is the installation kit. The panels are okay overall, plenty of material to help seal off the frame for exhaust. The heat is funneled great through the pipe with little/no excess escape around the port. The adhesive strips that it comes with are godlike. These these are phenomenal but beware, you must be careful. The adhesive will stick to near anything and is a sticks so strongly it will rip itself up trying to detach (such as from your fingers).Noise is alright, I can put it beside me and noise cancelling on a microphone can block it out easily to not disturb others.

AMAZING
Just recieved and got it hooked up yesterday.I live in a 36 foot travell trailer, which is basiclly the size of a one bedroom apt.It has two roof acs,of which one quit and the other is working intermitintly. This portable ac is amazing,it cools better then when I was running BOTH rooftops. Was really suprised on how well this thing works, as far as longevity goes, only time will tell, but I highly recomend-it saved me over five thousand dollars(the cost of two rooftop acs)Update; After using constantly for about a month in florida in a rv,(about the size of a one bedroom apt),with outside temps 85-90 degrees, this thing works really well, but I have close off the bedroom and bathroom in the day to keep it comfortable in the living room,so I'm going to buy another one for the rear area before it gets REALLY hot this summer. One thing to be aware of,it DOES drain water,ALOT-about half a gallon every three hours IF the compressor is running constantly. It's not really an issue,I just use a plastic milk jug,and check it every three hours or so.These do about as well as the rooftop ACs the rv is equipted with, but replacing the rooftop ACs are about twentyfive hundred apiece, and seeing as how I live in this one,and its stationary, its a no brainer

Nice compact AC unit
I received my Dreo 12,000 BTU AC unit on November 1st and have been using it daily since then. I live in South Florida and we are still somewhere between 81° and 85° during the day. The room where this AC was installed is just less than 200 square ft. but it's actually an open room that also shares a long hallway and a stairwell to the upper level of my townhouse. This room is separated by heavy light blocking and insulating drapery. This room also has 2 older windows in it and is also next to the front door. My home is a rental and the windows and doors are not newer so there are a lot of issues with warm air coming in through all the gaps. Just to set the mood of the room and give everyone a good picture of the space that I need to keep cool. The unboxing of the Dreo 12,000 BTU Portable AC was concerning because I was replacing a much larger 14,000 BTU unit of a different brand. I was concerned about the size difference. In my opinion the new Dreo unit is tiny in comparison and I had my doubts after discovering how small it really is that it would cool my living space.I am impressed. So glad I gave this tiny, feature rich portable AC unit the chance it well deserves. And I love the app too! This AC unit kicks hot air's butt and brings such an amazing and comfortable cool to my living space. I am NOT disappointed at all.I do have a socket fan above where I sit and also a tower fan that oscillates to help with air circulation. I doubt I'd be able to get away with this much comfort without these fans but again, I live in South Florida and fans are a must down here for many residents. Some of the features in the app are pretty cool. You can set on/off timers and also set the temperature at which you'd like the room to be cooled. That temperature can be pre programmed to change to whatever you choose as well. There is an ECO mode that I am currently testing out. So far that mode maintains the temperature really well. The app tells you how many hours your AC unit has been running and you can set a reminder in hours as to when to clean the filters. I definitely appreciate that function. There is a sensor the tells the app the water level in the drip pan. This unit is generally self evaporating unless the dehumidifier function is in use, then it says to install the continual drain hose. There are more features. I've only listed a few.All in all I am very impressed with my new Dreo 12,000 BTU portable AC unit. Two more little features that I truly appreciate. This unit is quiet compared to my 14,000 BTU unit from another brand. And I have control over temperature regulation and monitoring the unit itself while I'm away as long as I have wifi enabled at home. I hope my review assists in making the decision to give this awesome compact portable AC a chance to cool a room in your home as well.

Ac works, remote doesn’t
Just set it up 15 mins ago. No change in room temp, but it is blowing cold and with a good amount of air flow. Excited to see if this will actually cool the rooms…. Since it’s portable I am planning to move it room to room (since our main ac unit is dying in this 115 degree weather). Only issue is the remote is not connecting to the unit. The unit itself has controls on the front that work, but the remote will not sync even though it does turn on. I did pair it with my phone on the app, however when it’s in my daughters or sons room, I’m sure they would want to use the remote since they don’t have phones. I contacted customer support by the Dreo website… will update again .
