Read please. Very important
Hello, I got this router and so far it's the best. I did not expect a VPN router to be this good. I will explain why: My internet speed is 40 Mbps, and with this router, while connected to VPN, it's the same! It's like I'm not connected to a VPN; it is that fast. However, if you have a very fast internet connection like 5G or something faster than 100 Mbps, it’s better to use the ExpressVPN app on your phone or laptop. I think the CPU of this router is average, so when the internet speed is high, it cannot handle all of it. The maximum speed I got from this router is around 100 to 120 Mbps. It has good ping and everything, but some of the internet speed goes to waste. So, the key point is, unlike what you may think, this router works better with slower internet speeds! It can even give your speed a boost. And it's always connected. I just wish it had more options and settings in the router's web GUI. But it has what you need. I can confirm it is the best VPN router ever made. By the way, for your information, the router itself is GL.iNet, which is the best router brand. But ExpressVPN installed their own firmware on it. The router is powerful enough! I mean, more power in CPU or RAM would be a waste and overkill for ExpressVPN. My setup is internet—GL.iNet Flint 2—ExpressVPN Aircove. Keep in mind that ExpressVPN Aircove is the same as GL.iNet Slate Plus, even though Aircove is almost double the price of Slate Plus. But trust me, it's worth it. First of all, they picked the best brand router. Secondly, no other router supports ExpressVPN’s Lightway protocol. So, it’s your only option. And trust me, Lightway protocol beats WireGuard.

Great features, privacy in your pocket - set and forget
I like my privacy, but sometimes I am lazy. For me, this is the perfect solution. Now, all my devices at home are protected automatically - I don't need to remind myself. And, of course, this lightweight fits into any backpack. Privacy on the go is not an issue anymore. The initial setup is best done at home. You need to connect this router via ethernet first to be able to access the UI. Then you can set up this Wi-Fi link feature and connect to any wireless network. This feature was the reason I got this router in the first place and it does its job very well. Also, the pains of setting up a router with VPN are gone. This one is so simple! The UI is sleak and pretty; customising the router to my needs took me only minutes. Overall I am very satisfied, I have greater peace of mind and I love the versatility. It's not just your average mass-produced router. It fulfills exactly its purpose.

No App
Great device. Does what I want. Only disappointed is no app to control it like the identical GLI models. But GLI doesn’t do express vpn (well not directly anyway.)

Safe internet access internationally
This handy little gadget is easy to set up, and once set up gives a safe and secure internet network. It is small and lite and can be installed anywhere one travels.

DOES NOT CONNECT TO HOTEL WI-FI
After speeding all that money this travel router is USELESS. I have had many travel routers in the past but this one fails to connect to 98% of the hotels I stay in. Marriott, Hilton, IHG you name it and it won’t connect. I have used it hardwired at home but even then it drops connect constantly. I have been an ExpressVPN customer for years with all my international travel and loved their service but this router is extremely disappointing. It will start off trying to connect then disconnect, time out and need to be power cycled to start again. There is no info to help with the connection issues that I have found and frankly I am just going to write it off as another tech mistake and find something that actually works. Take it from a world travel this is a waste of money.

Great Travel Router
So within 4 days i received my order which was shipped from US to UK which was a fast service. I purchased this device as i will be travelling soon and needed a smaller portable router. The out of box experience was great, it includes a travel pouch which was a nice touch and the normal stickers and information. Upon first boot and setup (onboarding wizard) it updated to the latest version which enabled a new feature called WiFi-Link. So i had to quickly test the new feature out. So i connected my laptop via Wireless and then enabled my mobile phone hotspot feature. I then proceeded to connect the Aircove GO via WiFi-Link to my mobiles hotspot and it worked flawlessly. I was able to surf the internet with no wires if you can exclude the cable going to battery bank i was using (Anker Prime 20,000mAh) which showed under 5 watts with a single device being used. So overall nice product and definitely putting this into my travel pack

Good investment
This is very convenient for expressvpn customers. Convenient. No firmware upgrade like the previous solutions which was a challenge for non tech customers.

Performance and price are not what we expected
A little more expensive than the bigger AirCove but at reduced internet performance! We have a local internet service provider and did few measurements through their router and got download speed of 451Mbps and piggy back AirCove Go using Ethernet hardwired to the same local router and download performance is 86Mbps. Kind of disappointed, but need VPN as we always travelling abroad
