ZOOM Hydraulic Disc Brake Calipers: HB-100 MTB Bike Disc Brakes Front & Rear Caliper Set for Mountain, Road Bicycle and E-Bike

I used these to replace the stock mechanical brakes on my Relayway dual motor scooter (which is a rebranded Cunfon RZ1000). The scooter came stock with a 140mm front disc and a 160mm rear disc. The caliper did not fit the rear with the 160 due to tire clearance, and the front caliper, while functional, only grabbed about 2/3 of the 140mm disc. I replaced both discs with 145mm and used the 140mm mount that came with these calipers in place of the factory mount on the rear. From there everything was an easy install. These brakes look good and seem like they function well now that I’ve got them dialed in. I’ll update this review after I road test!

Plush and powerful, big upgrade over mechanical and I went with a bigger rotor and adapter. A little tricky to get it lined up perfectly with the included washers but pretty straightforward. Leave the plastic tab in until you're ready to drop in the wheel and tighten the cable last, just enough to take up slack. Finally, tighten attachment bolts after centering the caliper by pushing the brake lever. Do not activate the brake without something separating the pads, eg. the yellow tab or your brake rotor. Follow bed in procedure, and voila you have great looking and powerful brakes. Can't comment on durability since I just installed, but I will update later. I would recommend these, especially at this price. Pretty much plug and play. I also read somewhere that you don't tighten the cable as you would with the mechanical brake after the pads have worn in, instead use the barrel adjuster which is above the brake cable where it attaches to the caliper. Very nice looking and an inexpensive upgrade. Zero noise and impressive stopping power.

Stops quicker but didn’t fix the squeaky brakes

These ZOOM Hydraulic Disc Brake Calipers are going to get someone killed. I live on a large hill and I am glad I did not go down the hill to test them out. Holding a tire off the ground and giving a wheel a spin and then hitting the brake lever - all seemed fine and the wheel stopped. But getting on the bike for a spin and then grabbing the brake levers - the brakes just don't work. And I mean scary bad. Grabbing both brake levers and squeezing as hard as I could and the bike barely slowed down. I bedded them and gave them several miles to see if they would get better and they did not. I took them back off and reinstalled the originals. I now have brakes again. I absolutely do NOT recommend these extremely dangerous calipers.

HOLY COW, what a difference!!!!! These are super easy to install and they STOP. My project scooter can hit 50MPH now. I knew the stock mechanical ones were not going to be safe. For the price I was willing to give them a shot since i didn't want to have to redo everything with a full hydraulic system. I am sure I could send myself over the handle bars if i wanted to with these. The installation instructions were great and the installation itself was really easy. Make sure you check you have the correct one on the front vs rear. All in all a welcome and upgrade for my safety.

I have an Ozark Trail G1 which is notorious for having bad brakes. The install was relativity easy. And now my bike stops on a dime and it stops hard. If I could only do one upgrade to my bike, this would be it.

Fit on my Rad Rover with no issues! Much better stopping power now! 2 rides into using it and very impressed. There are some frequent reviews on the oring leaking but will keep an eye on it. Also, simple fix if they do leak with a new oring.

Easy to install fast service plus they work great.
