I like big rigs and have played with many lego models, 3D metal models, and 3D plastic models. It is safe to say that wood toy is the best compared to the other alternative.It is hard to assemble compared to lego but way more fun to get in the assembly process due to additional tooling and handling in detail, feels like really doing the modeling. It is similar slightly more difficult than plastic ones, but more pleasant without the smell of glue.May be similar to metal ones, but it is less frustrating and less fragile compared to metal ones.Despite the lack of really mimicking every detail in scale like the plastic ones, the details are no less and essences are there: engine, gearbox, steering, dashboard, etc. Would definitely recommend this woodwork to model lovers.One important lesson learned: the assembly guideline (not the main assembly book on steps) is not in English. Do overlook that. May details are discussed there, such as how to polish the gears, and edges, as well as the size of the rubber bands, to use, etc. For this rig, I did not get to have the spring drive moving part which I think is due to the lack of proper polishing.

These are the best puzzles to build. Always ease of assembly. Design and fit are well worth the money.

Was a gift but was told it was very enjoyable

I love Wood Trick and the quality they put into their products, but the puzzle I received (big rig) was not the quality I've come to expect. The wood chipped a lot when taken out of the laser cut pages. A couple broke even when little to no pressure was applied (by me). Luckily there were spare parts for those particular pieces, which is one thing I love about Wood Trick. I also love that there were an abundance of toothpicks included in the box. This is a HARD puzzle to put together, level 5, so it's not for the beginner. Its my 4th and I still wasn't able to get the gears to work properly. This is likely my own fault as I'm not mechanically inclined, yet.In the end this is an amazing piece of "art" that was incredibly fun to put together, despite not working. For someone who is more talented than me, who could get it to run, it's a no brainer. Enjoy!

UPDATE.I worked with Emily of Wood Trick on this issue and it was a fantastic experience. She responded quickly to all of my questions and concerns and provided the part I required along with all the additional parts that I had to remove to install the new part.I have built 8 or 10 3D wooden puzzles and most of them have been Wood Trick puzzles.This is the first one I have assembled that had a problem. The date on the box indicates that it was packaged on 20 November, 2017 leading me to believe that this kit was one of the earlier runs of this model.The issue was that one of the parts was designed backwards and the part did not match the illustrations in the assembly manual and would not fit the model.I have reached to Wood Trick and expect to hear from them soon. Other than this small issue, the kit was a joy to assemble and I look forward to receiving the correct part.

This was a Christmas gift for my husband. He said it provided a real challenge. There were a few things he had to modify. He absolutely loved it.It had fantastic detail and very sturdy wood.

Truck came together just fine. This brand seemed to leave many more tiny splinters of wood and shrapnel than the other brand I’ve tried. Also some pieces were very very hard to extract from their boards.
