No printing errors, but the paper quality did decline. Good series though!
So I actually just came here to grab a pic of the cover to show someone, and I don't have the emotional wherewithal to write a full review right now, but I am -loving- this series, and I very much enjoyed this volume. One of the spicier ones! If you liked the rest, this one is good times. But the reason I'm actually leaving a review now is because I noticed some people were concerned about the redacted portions in the credits that look like someone took a marker to the page or that they're a printing error. That's not a printing error; those pages are meant to be humorous, and this is the author making a joke. Read the italicized text and the actual content of the page and you'll see it's just Meatbun being silly and having a giggle. I had a moment, too, when I saw them, but that's how they're supposed to be, and it is actually cute imo. However, somebody also mentioned about the paper quality and I can chime in here. I compared this volume with my copy of Erha vol 1, but also one of the older Yuwu volumes. Usually you -can- see a bit of the text through the images, but it does feel like that is more pronounced in this recent printing, so I checked further. Looked at alongside the new release of Ballad of Sword and Wine vol 2 as well as Pet Fish 2, they're comparable; this is a more recent paper quality trend, rather than a single odd batch. Erha 6, Fish 2, and BS&W 2 were released within a month of each other, though. Pulling out Thousand Autumns 1, the difference is pretty noticeable. I hope they go back to the thicker paper. While the bleed doesn't really interrupt my enjoyment too much, it's just not as nice, and I buy these physical volumes to enjoy them in that format; this needlessly diminishes the experience when I'm already willing to pay extra for a printed copy.

A wild ride, cover to cover!
I love this series, but OMG volume 6 is sososososo good! It begins the morning following the end of book 5, & immediately begins the aftermath of the confession of feelings. From there on, there are so many heart-moving moments, cute moments, then the most amazing smut & dumb-assery (is that a word ?) that only Mo-Ran could provide! This book was so satisfying, I wasn’t even sad when it ended! Now I’m only wishing I didn’t need to wait so long for the next/last volume!❤️❤️❤️

Printing error?
The book came in perfect condition, nothing bent or whatever, but for some reason the credits were blacked out (no, it’s not marker. It came like that)??? My package was unopened so I’m assuming it was just a printing error.Kind of disappointed since it was a gift for a friend but then again its not like it was on anything important

Hot
Volume 6 finally brought Mo Ran and Chu Wanning where they’ve been heading all this time: in the bedroom. There was plenty of hot and heavy action, and it was very good, even if Mo Ran managed to keep himself in tight rein and didn’t go all the way. Chu Wanning didn’t immediately turn into a wanton, and even managed to subdue a lust demon even though he wasn’t pure anymore. His forays into seduction were delightful. The relationship remained slightly uneven outside bedroom. Chu Wanning is the more senior cultivator and Mo Ran’s teacher, and the two never forget that, even though Mo Ran tries his best to seduce his Shizun in compromising places. And Mo Ran is still torn by guilt about what he did in his previous life, and can’t quite be himself with Chu Wanning.Outside the romance, the hunt for the enemy intensifies. As he reveals more of himself, Mo Ran recognises some of his own dark spells and makes a stunning revelation. Someone else has reincarnated too. But do they know about Mo Ran, and will they come after him specifically, revealing all his horrible deeds to the world. And what will then happen to his relationship with Chu Wanning? This was an excellent volume, fairly tight and uncomplicated. Much of it was told from Chu Wanning’s point of view, which was a nice change. Knowing there will be several volumes, I didn’t expect a fast solution here, although I can’t see how much longer the author can drag this storyline. There were also scenes of the previous life about Mo Ran’s first steps towards becoming the evil emperor. His treatment of Chu Wanning felt uncomfortably bad, contrasted with their happiness in this lifetime. He almost confesses everything to Chu Wanning too, only to chicken out at the last moment. At this point of the story, I can’t even predict how Chu Wanning will react when he eventually learns the truth—and where his vivid dreams come from.

The spice before the storm
This was my favorite volume so far. The spice was on point, the characters were entertaining and captivating. I am scared though of what happens in the next book.

THIS SERIES HAS RUINED ME FOR ALL OTHERS
This is the best book series I have ever read. It’s so heart wrenchingly, agonizingly beautiful. The writing is lovely, lyrical, poetic. The characters are well thought out and they develop with the plot. These characters are some of the most realistic I have had the pleasure to get to know. The backstories for even side characters are so well done. The spicy scenes are *chefs kiss.* the translation is top tier. You couldn’t pay me enough to say a bad word about this series. How will I ever recover when this ends? I am doubtful anything else could compare. Previous to this I thought Wuthering Heights was the peak of obsessive love, but no…this surpasses it.10/10 - perfection!I preordered this and it was delivered the same day as it was released. Around 6PM…would have preferred earlier in the day, but that is what it is.

Not exactly calm
Volume 6 arrived in good condition; the epic continues. When I read the synopsis on the back of this book it said 'calm before the storm'. Considering that emotions are escalating and passions are peaking; that rumours go around Sisheng Peak of a fox spirit lurking in the Melodic Springs, calm is not quite the word. At least Mo Ran and Chu Wanning get chance to express some long felt love and deep yearning.I enjoyed the side stories of the Wine and Lust Gourds and Xue Meng's embarrassing moment in the wedding illusion. I like the way Xue Meng's character has been written in this volume. Usually he lacks filters but he has noticed other people's dilemmas, and is expressing insecurities.Nangong Si and Ye Wangxi turn up again, both of them being hunted by the enemies of the ruined Rufeng Sect who show considerable inhumanity. If there was another couple I would like to see happily settled other than our two main heroes, it would be them.I feel this adventure has been skilfully shaped and well written. Tension mounts and trouble is brewing. Mo Ran has a dreadful sense of foreboding. I cannot wait for volume 7.
