Ask Puff! A Kid's Guide to Understanding Cancer: A Fun & Scientific Approach to Explaining Cancer to Children (Books about Cancer for Kids) Review: Bought it to help explain my treatment plan to my child, grateful this will make it easier - This book is great and exactly what it says on the cover: a fun and scientific guide for kids! It was purchased with no expectations since I hadn't seen the inside and happily it works well for me and my child. It's entertaining and cute, straightforward and non-scary, and makes stuff about cancer and its treatment easier for a child to understand. I previewed other books about breast cancer but they were too specific as they often center one fictional family's experience that doesn't mirror what my treatment plan looks like so I couldn't use them as easily to help my child imagine what to expect. Knowledge is generalized enough in this book that it seems relevant for more kinds of cancer experiences and for preparing children for their own treatment as well. Review: Good - Good illustration for kids This book helped me talk & show my son what his body is going through. And it also helped his cousins understand his new journey.

We love this book. I love how the illustrations make it cute and not scary. My sister has cancer. This was perfect to explain to them.

Teaching kids about cancer
I bought this book for my grandkids. Their grandpa was diagnosed with colon cancer and they wanted to know what exactly it was. So this book was wonderfully written.
