Overall a fun little kit to put together. Mine was missing four of the eight push rods. After contacting the company, they got a replacement sent to me right away.All parts fit correctly and it was easy to assemble.

We found the code taped inside the box in order to build the engine! My son who is autistic and loves building Lego projects, built this engine and added his own ideas to make it better.. check out the pictures!

Well after a couple of days trying to assemble this kit I just gave up the video show what should be easy but after pausing too many time just to figure out how to assemble this I tried to go by the pictures again seems easy enough only some parts seemed way to hard to connect to other parts so trying not to break any parts. I have dome many model kits this one I can not recommend a child to assemble this kit. The parts seems well made but the fitment is the downfall of this kit.

I already have a sizeable collection of 3rd party battery boxes, switches, and motors, so I got this motor because I wanted to give my 10-year-old son something to build that would increase his understanding of mechanics and also (hopefully) spark his interest in building some other projects using the motors. This was an absolute home run! The kit came with all of the parts required, but you have to scan a QR code to get the instructions. I printed them out to make it easier for us to follow, and while I admit that they are not as specific and user-friendly as LEGO brand instructions, we were able to follow them and get the motor assembled. We now have it set up on a LEGO base plate connected to a battery box, switch, and motor. The only issue I ran into was the that long rod that is intended to connect to a motor was just a tiny bit too long to work with the base plate setup, so I had to trim it a little to get everything to fit in place on the plate. Thankfully you can't see what was cut, so now we have a functioning V8 motor setup sitting on the table and my son loves showing it off to everyone who visits. Most importantly, it was an awesome bonding moment that even my wife (who is NOT a fan of my LEGO obsession) had to admit was pretty powerful to witness. The Teese brand is now on my radar for 3rd party Technic parts for our own creative builds.
