GUS Made Pill Fob Stainless Steel Keychain Pill Holder, AAA Battery Holder

This is my absolute favorite pill bottle. I was in search of a US made bottle vs the cheap aluminum chinesium versions with lead or who knows what rubbing off on your pills. These are solid stainless steel and made in the USA! I bought several in different sizes for my kids and myself. This size is perfect for a number of pills, vitamins, etc. I don't even notice it on my keychain in my pocket, and it's waterproof. Notes: - If you screw it together snugly, about a 1/4 turn after the o-ring hits the bottom section, it never comes open and it will be the last one you'll ever buy. It even goes through the laundry and remains watertight! - Depending on the type of pills you're carrying, you can fit a decent quantity in this size if you don't just rabdomly toss them into it. Great US product!

Dichtung / O-Ring ab Werk defekt, deshalb nicht wasserdicht! Außen schön poliert, auf der Innenseite ist aber die Oberfläche so rauh, dass z.B. ein eingesteckter Geldschein einfach hängen bleibt. Für den aufgerufenen Preis absolut nicht zu empfehlen.

Bought the GUS pill fob (original size) to replace a cheap aluminum pill fob that gave out (threading stripped) within a couple of months. This is much slimmer than what I had before, but still allows me to fit 3 capsules that are each approximately 19mm long. This fits on my key ring without being too bulky in my pocket. Overall the quality of the materials and machining/build are much better than what I had before. This feels very solid and it appears to be built to last a long time (and is backed by a lifetime guarantee). This costs three times the price of the cheaper one I had before, but well worth it based on the quality. One other note to watch out for with the cheaper pill fobs. The one I had before this one would get a light 'dust' coating on pills that were kept inside. Maybe it was the aluminum dust from the stripped threads or maybe something else. I washed and dried out the old one several times but still kept coming back - obviously not something you want to ingest with your medication. The GUS pill fob does not have this issue. Overall, more expensive than many others but in this case you really get a much better quality product.

I bought my first “GUS Original Pill Fob, Made in USA, Stainless Steel Keychain Pill” nearly eight years ago and I’ve carried it around on my keychain in my pocket every day since. And despite it getting constantly bashed and jiggled around with my keys and sundry other things in my pocket every day, and even after traveling around the world and going through airport security multiple times, and accidentally going through the washing machine and dryer with pants a few times, and accidentally getting soaked in swimming pools, oceans, and rainstorm a few times… This mighty gadget still looks and works like it’s brand-new. Originally I’d debated spending this much money, relatively speaking, on such a small and seemingly simple item that was only big enough to hold a few pills or other tiny but essential items — especially when there were a lot of other, far cheaper options available that looked nearly identical… The alternatives where usually made out of aluminum at best, plastic at worst, and typically imported from China rather than these purportedly USA-made, medical-grade steel bad-boys from the GUS brand — but the cheaper versions, on the surface, didn’t seem much different I terms of functionality, and could often be found in multipacks where you could get a half dozen of them for nearly half the price of a single one of these pricy models… So the cheap version was tempting, and for some scenarios maybe the cheap alternatives would be satisfactory… But I’m glad I got a real GUS Original Pill Fob because it’s really a minimalist everyday carry work of art — the way it’s stood up to nearly a decade of usage is awesome. One day my kids will probably inherit this thing haha. But seriously, I’m impressed by the craftsmanship and longevity of this product, it’s a worthwhile investment.
