Beautiful clock! Top quality.

I received the Howard Miller Priest River Table Clock that I ordered and it looks great. The only thing I noticed it didn't have the rear cover on the back that covers the battery compartment that shows on the instructions. Didn't know whether I could get that cover? It shows two different covers and I would need the larger of the two. Thank you

This clock looks great and is the perfect size for my needs. However, this is an excellent example of product that has an established brand, but sells cheap outsourced relabeled products on their low end. Howard Miller, I learned, makes some of the best grandfather clocks. However, their desk clocks are made overseas. The base is brass and gives the clock some weight. I think the weight and felt bottom keep it pretty quiet. The wood is real also. However, as you can see the back is cheap black plastic that is spray painted yellow. Also disappointing is the crystal is plastic. I suppose these desk clocks don’t suffer much wear sitting on a mantle or bookcase, so it should hold up. I am keeping my fingers crossed that the Chinese movement is reliable. I would gladly pay a little more for a glass crystal and brass backing too.

Nothing Howard Miller makes should be overlooked. I have several of their clocks and the one thing I can count on is that they are of the highest quality.

A nice looking clock, but not large enough for the time to be read across the room. I would not buy again.

Cheap. Plastic . Then I saw made in China tag.
