My wife loves this desk. I got this for her and constantly uses it while working from home. It keeps the laptop off of her lap and gives her a hard top to write on. The quality is great and the height is perfect.

I needed an eye-level stand for my standing desk, one that accommodates both laptop and books. This is it, but it needs 2 improvements. I made both of them, but the manufacturer (or other buyers) can, too. 1) The large bamboo platform was warped by about 3/8". I tried soaking it in hot water and then stacking 25 lbs on the bowed center, but that did not work. Then, following an online suggestion, I used one wet towel to moisten the concave side for several days. Twice a day, I used a hot iron to heat the convex side. In between ironing treatments, I put about 25 lbs of weight on the top (convex) side. After 3 days, the warping was gone. To make sure that it did not return, I attached a pair of 2x2 (actual size 1-3/4" square) hardwood ribs to the underside (i.e., the formerly convex side). 2) My use is likely not everyone's. Apparently, some people mainly use this product for reading while reclining. But for reading a book while standing, the original design does not provide enough of a vertical angle. Therefore, I removed the original metal support bracket. I replaced it with a piece of hardwood measuring 2" x 1/4" x 8". The attached pictures show most of the procedures and results described here. (Unfortunately, I can find a photo with an iron, but you can imagine that.)

It worksIt can adjust different angle. I use this to read bible or other big books in the bed. It is wood and has metal legs and it is heavy. Gotta be careful not to hurt myself when I close legs or put away. Legs moving easily . I did not like that part only. I hope there is some lock? To close it to put away.That is why I deduct one star.I have not used cup holder yet.The space on the table is enough for my book. But not all with pens and phone and all those I think. (I journal ) overall I’m ok with this .(have not tried other kind)

The media could not be loaded. This lap desk is too expensive to be poorly constructed. You have to align the steel rails under the desk. And screw them together. No problem since an Allen wrench is provided to anchor the four (4) screws so the two separate wooden panels join together.The problem that I had was that the edge of the large wooden panel was not shaven flush against the smaller wooden panel. The larger wooden panel has to sit above the smaller one in order for me to secure the rails underneath the panels.I'll have to sand it down to get the panels sit evenly against each other and apply varnish later to protect the finish.This manufacturer should do better.
