I have several old receivers that I am hooking up so i can switch between them for comparison and fun. Using this I can send the same music to any of them, also added a bluetooth receiver to the switcher so i can stream from my phone. Works great!

Nice little switcher especially for the money. Did not affect the sound in my set up. The only issue is the size and weight. RCA inputs are too close together for my liking due to the small size and the light weight means it doesn't stay put if you have everything hooked up.Still a fantastic product that does what it's supposed to.

It does have a nice metal case and metal knobs, but the case is not grounded, so it doesn't act as a shield. It picks up mains hum, a lot. And it does have a lot of capacitance between the channels, so you will hear the non-selected channels if they are playing and the one you chose isn't. I did my best to mod it to minimize that, but while I did get rid of the hum, the wafer switch and the ribbon cable themselves are what have the most of it. And a normal person runs a ground between each high impedance signal line, which is something they didn't do. I did shorten the ribbon cable and added the ground modifications as shown, that does get rid of the mains hum issue, but didn't completely remove the crosstalk. Grounding the chassis and using nice thick shielded cables at least is an absolute must in typical use case, where this box ives in the middle of a ratsnest of power and signal cables for all kinds of AV equipment.

do you need the ability to switch one audio source to another through rca? thisll work!

I opened my sample up before installing it (a simple matter of removing the knobs and the two small Philips head screws) I order to inspect the construction quality. While the components and wiring are not heavy duty, they are consistent with what’s expected in this price range, and the construction and layout are neat and nicely executed, save for one 100-ohm resistor that wasn’t fully inserted in the PC board before soldering.The switches have a positive feel to them, and there are click stops for each position. The case is heavy enough so that it doesn’t slip around when the switches are turned. In summary, a convenient way to add inputs to an older stereo system at a low cost.

Purchased this unit to hook up my CD player and Esinkin BT receiver (purchased via Amazon) to my vintage stereo receiver auxiliary port. I was pleasantly surprised at the weight of the unit. Easily hooked up and the RCA cord that came with the unit is a plus as it was needed. CD Player is A and Esinkin is B for inputs, it was that simple.

Replaced my old 1980’s Realistic plastic switch with only 3 inputs because I needed 4. This one is metal and just feels so much better, definitely an upgrade and about half the size of my old one. Works perfectly.
