Nailed all of them in less than a week. I placed sticky paper on the three sides to keep them off the sides of the trap. See picture. They work great. Caught some very large rats.

This item is not made well and has bent numerous times after catching a chipmunk. This was not a good purchase and would not recommend these.

Not sure how, but food taken but not one thing trapped.

I have caught a chipmunk, 2 field mice, and a squirrel. I used smooth peanut butter with a sprinkle of bird seed.

This humane trap is very well designed and built IMHO. That's not to say that it couldn't be improved a little by a user with some imagination and experience though.The design is simple and quite ingenious, with a simple "drop bar" of heavy wire.When the trap is sprung, that bar drops down, locking the door from opening. I tested that action a dozen times and the bar never failed to drop and lock it up tight. Maybe Houdini could get out but no critter will.It could be staked down outdoors if desired & the food shelf could be widened by the user.The most important part of any trap is in baiting it. If food is loose it can be stolen, but if the bait is secured to the trip lever by string or wire, this will not happen very often.Also, some food can be placed behind the trip lever so the critter has to step on the lever to get to it.Be sure to check it often to prevent a critter from starving to death.This is a good live trap and it gets my approval.It also is a good value for the money in my opinion.
