Best of Southern Rock / Various

This is a bargain-basement compilation that does it's job and acts as a sufficient sampler for the genre of "Southern Rock". Now, keeping in mind that due to licensing and compensation issues, manufacturers of this stuff can't neccessarily afford to always put on what they would like and, how a one cd sampler can never be considered a comprehensive representative of the genre, this brief, discount cd can do no wrong. A proper "Southern Rock" compliation should be a lengthy boxed set.Can anybody deny that all of these groups and most of these songs qualify to be on a Southern Rock compliation? Only "The Kentucky Headhunters" are a questionable inclusion.The sound quality is fine, the diversity of artists is appropriate and the songs are winners. With the Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd Wet Willie, Outlaws, Elvin Bishop (nice call for putting him on), 38 Special, Ozark Mountain Daredevils, Atlanta Rhythm Section, and Pure Prairie League, for probably less than $5, how can you go wrong?

Good sound And works good

I'm stuck on the oldies, most of the new rock sounds to me like the musicians are on acid. Ironic, since most of the good rockers of the 60s to 80s were expanding their minds.

I like the CDTHE CASE WAS CRACKED, AND THE COMPANY'S EMAIL TO COMMUNICATE DID NOT WORK.

Nice compilation of some of the best southern rock in that era. Only wish it had a few more cuts.

Se vi piace il southern rock, probabilmente avrete già buona parte delle canzoni presenti in questo CD... ma averle tutte raccolte in un unico disco è piacevole e comodo.Una selezione ottima anche per chi non conosce il southern rock e vuole avvicinarcisi: qui ci sono brani che sono famosissimi anche per chi non è un fan della musica del Sud degli Stati Uniti (compresa la celeberrima "Sweet Home Alabama" dei Lynyrd Skynyrd) e quindi è un'ottima compilation anche per chi vuol semplicemente ascoltare della buona musica.Ecco l'elenco delle tracce presenti nel CD:1. I'm someone who prefers to collect the original studio recordings and am very cautious with purchases like this as they can feature live tracks without sometimes being clearly labelled. This one has studio recordings throughout and I'd recommend it as even the tracks which I was unfamiliar with are of a high standard.
