Golden QoR Ali Cavanaugh curated Watercolor Set
I am a fan of Golden’s QoR watercolors! They use a new binder that really lets the colors flow. Ali Cavanaugh has a tutorial online in which she demonstrates just how perfectly this select set of colors layers and fits together for perfect portraits. The colors rewet easily and they have a unique granulating kind of action when combined with paints with other binders. They’re great for experienced artists and would be wonderful to experiment with for students or beginners. There are some duplicate colors with other sets, but I think you can check that in advance and purchase the half pans or tubes you need to fill out your sets. If you love watercolors you will love this set!

Love the colours
Bought this to do portraits with. This brand is a very clear colour product. Love it.

Stop using deceiving photos. Paints were packaged poorly.
I love QOR products and very satisfied with the product. However, the photo shows a separate palette that’s included with the paints. A simple explanation of palette not included in the subscription would suffice. Also, again I keep receiving products not package properly. Artists spend a great deal of money on art supplies. We make a living off of our work. In order to do that, we need good quality art supplies and for those supplies to be packaged properly to prevent damage during shipment. When I received my products the tubes inside the tin were tossed. Luckily nothing was damage this time. I hope when my next QOR paints come they will be packaged much better.

Inspiring colors
I’m so glad that I ordered this set. It inspired me to take those six colors and push them to create as many color mixes as possible. They are all very versatile colors and some are really unique too. I looked at Ali Cavanaugh’s work and that was inspiring too. If you need a creative boost , definitely try this set.
