Excellent sturdy and versatile tripod
Excellent little tripod. Extremely sturdy, solid and well-built. Very versatile, allowing a huge range of positions and uses (though not quite as versatile as my beloved Benbo). Do love the "modular" nature where it can be reconfigured as a columnless support or as a monopod (of dual sizes, the smallest monopod almost fitting into a jacket pocket. Excellent ballhead too - a good size for this tripod, with a beautifully smooth action, and zero "droop" (on my admittedly light Nikon Z50). Only minor complaints are the (relatively) heavy weight (though you do reap this in superior stability) and the fact that it's a bit cumbersome to use in low-level mode without the centre column, requiring a lot of unscrewing and fiddling. Oh and why is the ballhead blue? It looks so incongruous against the (attractive) orange. Wish it was grey instead. Oh well, it doesn't affect the functionality. Otherwise, top marks!

Excellent, fits in my camera bag!
Superb little bit of kit, really strong. I was really pleased with the ball head too! You can remove the centre column and fit it upside down too so it's great for macro. Only real niggle is that the bag hook is strong but annoying. I have a Peak anchor on there (you can put one on the front too and shoulder carry). Oh, and the legs don't have a negative stop so you can't really carry it in your shoulder without them going weird

Great tripod, except….
Love this tripod, really do, it is a great build, easy to use and does what I need it to. My peak design capture plate (standard) fits on too, which is perfect. One thing I must grumble about though are the legs, for some reason they sometimes come loose, where they will flop about on their own if I am walking around with it. So I’m having to re-tighten the legs every time I am out with it. But apart from that, I like it and I would recommend.

Lightweight, small tripod
Pretty sturdy for its weight and size once I attach my backback to the carabinier and to the tripod, fits in any of my backpacks, lightweight, I can carry it around without feeling like an extra weight on my back, great choice, the ballhead is pretty good, it's the first tripod with this feature that I have, I find it better than the video head type for photos only.I recommend it.

Compact
This is a fantastic tripod, I probably have 4 full size tripods this is the only one I use now, packs up really small, super flexible, the only very small issue I have had is with the centre adjustment, you need to be careful when lowering and keep hold of the head or it can drop and pinch I occasionally forget and it catches me out I know I should hold the head when adjusting but hey who does that :).

SIMPLY THE BEST
Light and small but sturdy, very easy for arthritic hands to manipulate. There is nothing not to like about this tripod. It is a delight. There are videos on line to explain the full workings.I have tried Benbo Giotto Manfrotto and am selling them all now!

Definitely the best tripod for travellers, makes it possible to always have your tripod with you!
Amazingly strong and fun to use. What's best? THE SIZE GUYS! This tripod in compact size can fit inside my tiny backpack, along with my DSLR and some little space to spare. And my backpack is the smallest available on sale right now from Nike. In full size however, the tripod can get the lens to my eye level and this is a very impressive feat!

Compact, light and handy
Really nicely designed tripod, the twist expanders took a little while to get used to but it's not exactly a steep learning curve. Great go anywhere, do anything option.

You will never look back at another brand name for the rest of your life.
It is very challenging to find a good tripod these days. I have tried many and they don’t last or even age gracefully. This compact tripod is beautifully designed, well built with a great attention to details. It feels sturdy and robust as soon as you handle it. I have never seen a well thought out tripod like this. I am extremely sold on Three Legged Thing as a brand you can trust and will never look back. All I need now is the Clawz :)

Ottimo
Bellissimo, colorato, gommoso, compatto, solido e stabile. Pesa 1,5 kg. L'ho collaudato in molte varie situazioni.

Surprisingly big and sturdy for such a compact tripod!
I recently purchased the 3-Legged Thing Punks Travis tripod, the bigger brother to the Corey. I was so impressed with Travis I turned around and ordered the Corey. The first one I received was defective - with a bad center column and one leg wasn't quite right. I returned it and it was immediately replaced with another Corey - this one is perfect!Obviously, you can read the dimensions and see all the images on the 3-Legged Thing website, but to handle it in person and see the transformation from such a compact package folded up and then to extend it out - with the 2-section center column extended fully - at 5'10" I can very comfortably stand upright with only a slight crouch to look through the viewfinder in landscape orientation. When I open up "Travis" to what is full working height for me, it is only slightly higher than Cory is fully extended. This is quite a contrast to the Manfrotto BeFree tripod this is replacing. While folded they are very close in size, the Manfrotto was way shorter when completely extended. The tripod is very solid for its size and weight, very well built, and honestly it is the coolest looking tripod around! The Arca Swiss compatible head and plates are very nice - the plates I received have the protruding bolt heads that act as a kind of safety - keeps the camera from sliding out should the clamp come loose. There is not a lever lock on the clamp - just a twist knob, which works fine for me.The versatility is insane - three leg positions, the widest of which is practically flat out. You can reverse the center column - or remove it and put the head alone on the legs. That coupled with the widest leg position will get you super low to the ground. Set up and take down is really fast and secure. Some prefer the lever locks on tripods. I have used both and I prefer the twist locks like this - lever locks can loosen over time and if you don't have to tools to tighten them on a shoot you are screwed. The twist locks will ALWAYS tighten. The bag it comes with is ok, but I have ordered a more substantial bag with some padding. The bag that comes with the Corey and Travis are thin and offer no padding.A good tripod should last a very long time - tripods I have owned lasted decades and still worked fine when I sold them. It is well worth it to invest a little bit in a quality tripod. These Punks series (entry level?) tripods from 3-Legged Thing are of surprisingly high quality for the money.
