These eyes give them sooo much personality I love them!!!!

The eyes look great for a time, but several of the backs have split open a few days after installing, causing the eyes to fall out. Quite frustrating to take apart a completed stuffy to replace an eye. Even more frustrating to have the replaced eye split again a few days later. I would return, but the return window closed before I realized how many backs were going to crack. I imagine that the ones that haven't yet split are just a matter of time. Not good for children's toys!

If you use safety eyes for any kind of project, you have a feel for how they work with different forms of yarn and material.These style of eyes are really great for specific projects that call for them, but are NOT user friendly. The washer sent with the eyes are terrible and I can never get them to work with the eyes. I also fee the eye posts are too short when using with a bulky type yarn (5 weight on up). I did end up purchasing universal washer for safety eyes and this seems to work better for my projects. I also feel better knowing they are locked in place as I have had eyes pop out of the washers before. I also add extra safety by heating the post and pressing it into something to make the post spread out and more flat.These eyes do have some thickness to them. Usually about 1/4 inch. So if you are looking for specific aesthetics, these may or may not be for you.
