Bought this wet food automatic feeder because we were going out of town for a week and wanted to ensure that our female kitty was getting enough food. She has kidney disease and has been losing weight.Our male cat likes to steal her food, so I wanted to make sure she had round-the-clock snacks that he couldn't get into.She adjusted quickly to the "beep" alarm, indicating that a new round of meals was available. The signal was loud enough for her to hear; but not loud enough to startle or scare.There are six food trays that rotate based on the time schedule you program into the system. We programmed it around her main meals (that the petsitter would be serving), for every three hours. Programming was easy. Basically, it's a push of a button.It comes with four ice packs, which keeps the tray cool for up to 24hrs. We opted for the stainless steel trays because I felt it would stay cooler, less bacteria, and would be easier to clean.If you are putting wet food into the system, make sure you clean it daily. We had a second petsitter come in for the last day of our vacation and she forgot to clean it out. The wet food that was left in there stank horribly, probably because she forgot to change out the ice packs.I was able to make sure that the feeder was working correctly, due to the security camera in the room.I have continued to use it while at home, so she has continued use of the snack tray, without me having to monitor the food. I haven't had to charge the battery since I recieved it, about a month ago. Works well, very sturdy, great value for the money. Gave peace of mind, knowing that she would be fed. You will not be disappointed.

I got this product to feed our cats when we are gone for the whole day or for the occasional overnight trip. It has a nice, simple design that is easy to program and works well. I appreciate that it comes with two sets of ice packs. We have tested it for the past few days- to make sure it is reliable before we use it when we are gone for the full day- and it works very well. The trays are very easy to clean, and I especially like the stainless steel option. I would recommend this product!

Great feeder for a cat that needs rationed food throughout day / night. Our cat had pancreatitis and IBD, both of which smaller and more frequent meals are recommended. This feeder was perfect to help get him his frequent snacks while rationing so he didn't overeat (which he totally would scarf down any amount of food accessible to him!). BTW, gets feedings done while I CAN SLEEP or be away or buried in work, etc. Easy to clean and put together. Very happy with it, and the sound of the rotating dish is full Pavlovian stimulus now... he comes running when he hears the turn! LOL We mostly use with kibble only, but nice to have cooler packs for occasional wet food meals if needed.

Very good feeder ...fairly easy to program and wet food stays pretty fresh for 24-36 hours. Good size for a small cat.

This is actually the first Amazon review I have ever done! This feeder is wonderful! Not too many bells and whistles, but does what it’s supposed to do. It keeps the food cool and rotates to the next feed without issues. I cannot tell you how much this has helped me with my cats! I have a Maine coon who sometimes gets impatient waiting for his food and he has sat on. It moved it around the kitchen, lol and in spite of all of that, not a scratch, not an issue! It is very sturdy! Only half the price of the more expensive ones And does what I’m sure is just as good a job. Highly recommend.

Battery lasts a very long time with a feeding twice a day. Works very well, bought another for my other cat. Ice packs need to be changed daily.

I recently switched my cats to an all wet food diet. I tried feeding them the recommended amount twice a day, then three times, and finally four, because they weren't eating a whole serving at one time and then the food was drying out quickly and getting gross, so then they WOULDN'T finish it. Since I'm returning to work full time, there's no way to feed them four times a day around my busy schedule. These make it so I only have to refill the dish twice a day, with the recommended servings spaced out over 6 different meals and the ice packs keep the food fresh longer. Me and my kitties are much happier now. If you feed strictly dry food or maybe mostly dry and a little wet, then you really only need to fill it one time a day. You can program up to 5 feedings and then the sixth is the beginning position, and it will remember the program each day so there's no need to set it over and over again. It comes with ice packs for freshness, but they only keep the food fresh for about 12 hours, then you'll want to change them. I charged them when I got them and they are still good a week later with no low battery indicator. They are very easy to put together, very easy to program, very good quality material and I love the way they look. I got the black ones, but they are semi transparent on top if you need to gauge food amount without taking the lid off. The only small issue I'm having is the ice packs get bulges in weird places when I freeze them, even if I lay them flat, but the way the bottom of the dish is designed, it mostly isn't an issue putting it back together flush. All in all a very excellent item!

Better than I imagined! Item is as described with clear setup & programming instructions. Favorite features: size, cordless & rechargeable (charge lasts 45 days), easy to program, easy to clean, senior cat transitioned easily to feeder, sturdy construction, simple controls with lock for program, food compartments are low in front for easy cat access — but large enough to contain a half can of cat food, 2 sets of cold packs.
