The Qur'an: A Verse Translation

I have copies of the Clear Quran, Saheel International, Oxford Worlds Classics, and the Coran and some others. This Translation is the best version I have read. You can understand every single page and don't need to reread verses to get the full meaning like the saheel International it's too literal. This is the best Translation I would recommend for everyone. I really enjoyed the fluidity of the text and how there's no ayats/titles which allows you to enter a flow state without a stop sign. No footnotes needed. Just pure amazing literature guidance. The clear quran has nice words but it has like 10 titles per page, which are stop signs not allowing you to enter a flow state. This one title at the beginning and then oure smooth amazing Translation with no titles or footnotes. But the only thing I hate about ordering islamic books off Amazon is some haters mark the covers of the books, scratching them or doing some bull. Twice this happened. Obviously I won't give a negative review because of this since it's out of the control of the author. Other than that I really enjoyed the book so far.

A true gem. Perfect for better understanding and a different approach to reading the translation of the Quran. It is really well made and the effort put into it truly shows.

I couldn't recommend this translation more, In my opinion it's better than the "clear Quran by Dr mustafa khattab" and the "Oxford world's classics by M.A.S. Abdel Haleem" I don't mean anything bad to the previous efforts of the other authors, but this new translation is absolutely beautiful while being just as clear as the other 2 popular translations.

This translation is very beautiful. I had read sura yusuf/joseph.I felt,I was reading quran in arabic .I couldn't put it down.

We have really enjoyed the beautiful English translation of the Holy Quran. The flow of the words is soothing and similar to the poetic rhythm of the Arabic form. This is an excellent resource for all students of knowledge. The authors have done a tremendous job.

I’m a Christian pastor who believes it’s important to read the Holy books of other faiths. I have several different translations of the Quran and this one is the absolute best for readability and flow. The study pages in the front were excellent. The Quran is meant to be read aloud and with the way the translator did things, you can imagine you’re hearing the words in your head as you read. For just appreciating the text, this one is it. For study, The Study Quran: A New Translation(Nasr) is the best I’ve found.

Not since A.J. Arberry expressed his translation in vivid prose has a translation such as this appeared which simultaneously captures the exalted magnificence of the Arabic verses of the Qur'an, but also expresses this elegance in simple English. These are some of the features which make this translation comparable to Arberry, M.A.S. Haleem, and Thomas Cleary.The versification in poetic form provides readers with reflective moments of meditative rhythm and capture some of the Arabic's contemplative pace and flow. A very helpful feature of this version is that the Divine Names as they appear in the text are capitalized so that one can discern that the al-asma al-husna (Beautiful Names) are being invoked.In 64 pages of introductory material various contexts are presented: the life of the Prophet, the nature of the Qur'an, the challenges of translation, and the nature of this translation.In the case of the narrative of Moses' journey with al-Khidr (on which I have written a book) there is a conciseness and richness that make this in my opinion the best translation of this passage (18:60-82) I have seen. But The Qur'an: A Verse Translation is replete with moments of clarity and brilliance that should make this for many their go-to translation.The Audible version (read by translator M.A.R. Habib) is beautifully, sensitively, and poetically read and has been a resource for deepening my appreciation of this splendid translation.Since Habib and Lawrence's translation has appeared I have used it in all my quotation of Qur'anic verses. This is simply a breakthrough in the translation of the Qur'an into English.

2:2 should read " That is the book"17:1-2 ( you should not have included any comments on this ayaat is talking about Muhammad when Allah didnt.This stears the opinon of people to the scholars and not the Quran
