A must read!
This book is a great, honest, raw exploration of Suzy Favor Hamilton's training, diet, and attitude. As a collegiate runner myself I found this expose fascinating, enlightening, and encouraging. There are detailed training plans and meal plans. Literally days and months of training and eating are written out. I've read this book multiple times and constantly reference it for ideas about training and also as a reminder that every runner is different. Hamilton does a good job of walking you through the things she did wrong and then learned to do right.My only complaint was that the book lacked some organization, but if you are reading the whole thing (and you should be), then you find it doesn't matter that much. This book is rich with information.

Suzy does a great job of reminding of the importance of living a healthy life style for athletic success, she even takes the time to discuss some of the things athletes do that provide short term gains, and delves into the problems that result. If you are a young woman, new to racing or you coach young women, even if you already know most of this information, it provides a nice refresher.

After reading Fast Girl, I realized this book is all bull. Suzy Favor was anorexic/bulimic during the time this was written. I know her personal trainer and dietician wrote it and I suppose it's a decent outline for training but the diet tips aren't as great. I study nutrition for fun and this isn't what I would practice.

Awesome!
This book has really helped me a lot, especially in the nutrition field. It's interesting even if you're not huge into training. Easy to read and quite likable. Highly recommended

Very good book
I would recommend this book to any one interested in starting to run or for anyone who runs on a daily basis. Great for high school runners.

It's a great., easy read, book with many tips inside it... nothing is better than learning from the champ. Definitely worth it!

Awesome Read!
This book was so informative on every aspect for a female runner. Suzy made the nutrition aspect so easy to understand. Really takes the guesswork out of what to eat and when.
