Good container for the money
I bought 2 of these. The contatainers work well, especially after I figured out how to make them work correctly. The built in pump can be very difficult to start, but does work after a few pumps. Once you get past the initial difficult pumps, you feel the tension ease and rebuild as you pull the air out. Considering that these are lower in cost than others, the do what is needed.

Vaccum seal stopped working after 2 months
It’s a nice storage container, especially for coffee beans, but the vacuum seal mechanism (which removes air through the lid) stopped working for me after just two months of use. Even when I try to pull the air out, it keeps leaking back in. Every time I open the container, the air is already inside, and the button no longer functions as it should.

Container cracked after 33 days
Do Not Purchase! Nice idea but poor quality plastic. Picked up the canister under vacuum and the canister bottom star cracked. Only had for 33 days. 3 days beyond when I could return.

PERFECT!
These are great for keeping my jelly beans fresh. With just a few Pumps its sealed with freshness and so easy to release the lid too. They are great!

Works sometimes
When I pull the plunger to suck the air out, it does not work even half the time. It’s just ok. If you’re looking to remove the air from food or something, this is definitely not the best option.

Keeps coffee fresh; don't get carried away with pumping!
Enjoyed that this has been keeping my coffee fresh. They warn you not to pull the pump/sealing mechanism more than 15 times, I'm going to suggest no more than 10. I check for a decent seal by trying to turn the top after 8 pumps. I rarely have to go more than 10.The problem is the structural integrity of the container can't stand up to a decent vacuum and cracks began to appear in several of my containers before I caught on to what was happening.With that caveat in place, I still highly recommend this item because, buck for buck, it does what it's supposed to do - and I'm not trying to pay $30-40 per container for a half dozen coffee containers! Oh, and do remember to store them in the dark!
