A-Premium Front Exhaust Manifold Catalytic Converter Kit Direct-Fit Compatible with Kia Sorento 2014-2015 & Hyundai Santa Fe Sport 2013-2016, 2.4L, EPA Compliant, Replace# 285102G455

I purchased this product to replace the manifold catalytic converter on my 2014 Kia Sorento. The box arrived damaged which typically would not be an issue, but after opening the product it was evident the box damage was from the heavy converter manifold bursting through the box after what appeared to be multiple drops during shipping. The product contained no space-filler packing material inside the box to prevent the product from moving around freely, and the box was rather thin. The preservative oil coating on the manifold soaked thru the box on both spots where the manifold poked through the box. My only positive about this product was that it came with all gaskets, hardware, and heat shield that appeared to be of adequate quality.Upon further inspection of the product after opening, the mating surface of the manifold was damaged and deformed around the edges in multiple spots from the apparent drop during shipping. The welds were low quality and splotchy with excessive overspray, where on portion of the weld around the manifold was incomplete with a needle sized hole remaining that I am confident would have caused a dangerous exhaust leak if I installed the product. The weld was cracked in 2 other locations, which may have been from the same drop that warped the manifold mating surface.Many of my issues would be solved with better packaging. This was the cheapest E.P.A. manifold converter I could find that included the gaskets and hardware. Product is made in China (labeled that way on the other black plastic wrapping of the box it was shipped in). Product did not appear to be packed by Amazon.
