Whatever you do, never give your dog cat treats or food. I'm learning the hard way. We have a dog and cat and they always sneak and eat eachothers food. I didn't know that the cats food could cause kidney failure. We luckily caught our mistake before it got to kidney failure but now we are doing our best to ensure he stays healthy. He started to not want to drink his water so my son boiled chicken and he loves the broth and now I just mix a little broth and put some shredded chicken at the bottom of the bowl and he drinks all the water to get the chicken. I'm just sharing as much as I can for other dog moms. As for this dog food...I really thought he was going to hate it. He's not much of a crunchy dog, he prefers wet pate. I put it down in front of him, he looked at it, from a distance and I thought he was not interested. I went out to the garage to get his wet food and my hubby said, "he's chowing it down". Now, everytime I put it down, he eats it right up. You will have to get your vets approval before they send it but it was so easy. I just called my vet and let him know to be on the lookout and it showed up a few days later. I hope your fur baby loves it too.❤️ 🐕

Thank you to our vet for getting the Rx in very quickly, once that is done the shipping is very fast, we have a dog with KD and we don't want her to have CORN in her food due to potential skin allergy issues! Read the label on your dog food. This is a quality kibble, its a little large for a small dog but you could break it up. we were thankful to find Amazon sells this as with Prime its much cheaper than the other guys. only negative would be it should ship in a "box" and not a vinyl mailer, this has the potential to rip open. Blue Buffalo is a good quality dog food.

I'm uncertain about how many stars to give this product yet, as it just arrived. My 16-year-old Schauzer-poodle did eat it. BUT the package has a Yorkie on the front. This could be for a small dog. It is listed as a small dog food. But the kibble is large. Much larger than the Halo salmon for small dogs. My dog has only one tooth, so he can't chew the kibble up. I may have to crush them up. I need the lower protein Blue Buffalo. In the photo, the BB is on the left, the Halo is on the right. We'll see.

So far so good my dog hates most dry food that she is allowed to eat and at 20 years young, deaf and blind.. she tore this up.. I normally have to buy her wet food for her kidneys… chewy Messed up and sent us cat food(the forza10active wet renal) that looks the same as the dog food.. I needed something quick and Amazon Rufus came through with a recommendation … my dog can’t stand the Hills brand( wet or dry) or the forza dry but this was a hit…

I'm giving this two stars because the ingredients don't look horrific like most other kidney support foods and a lot of dogs seem to enjoy this. However, our dog refused to eat this after less than a week. I was adding his old food in with it and once it went to all of this, he stopped eating it. He is not picky whatsoever I have never seen him refuse any type of food. The smell is pretty strong but I doubt a dog would mind that. I will not repurchase.

I had my senior pup (13yrs poodle/chi mix) on Hills Science and after a while he stop eating it. He is such a picky eater, so we tried this brand and he is eating again. Hopefully, he will continue to eat. We went through one 8lb bag and brought a 22lb bag. With us luck!
