It works.

Used for carp fishing for two months, they absolutely do the job with no issues with the chain when striking.

For swingers it works :POk as most fishermen / women know who fish with a bait alarm thy can go off with the wind easy causing a false alarm, these assist in showing a bite, the clip hangs on the line so when the line is pulled and not swung with the wing it pulls the hanging lantern making it actually move not just swing.The lantern unscrews so you can put a snap light inside, "these are little chemical filled capsules that when broken glow in the dark" .My only gripe is the two balls at the top that hang on your line may be too wide apart and slip past the wire ? You could fit a small band (like a boilie bait band) over the balls to pull them it.I tried these on my rod with a fluorocarbon 22IB line and it did hold.A good reusable aid and worth the money for that better catch.Just don't forget to attach the other end to your rod rest or it could be whipped off when that bite happens.
