Q: This states not to use on unfinished hardwood floors. How can you tell if your hardwood is unfinished? House is 66 years old with original floors.

To determine if your floors are finished, pour a small amount of water on the floor and let it sit for about 30 minutes. If the water is absorbed into the floor, it is unfinished. If it is still on the floor, the floor is finished.

Q: Can this cleaner be used on waxed hardwood floors to pick up surface soil prior to buffing?

No, the Weiman Hardwood Floor Cleaner is not recommended for use on waxed, oiled unfinished, or unsealed wood floors.

Q: I have engineered hardwood floors. It's tongue-and-groove with seams between boards. Assumed not sealed. Anyone using this on this type floor?
