I read Tongan Kava can be heady. I have been consuming heavy lately and they require sleep after a good dose. I brewed up 6 tablespoons of Fiji Vanua Kava Malo Tonga Kava just now with the intention of continuing my day with energy and purpose vs. stoned from a heavy brew. I must say this is kicking right now. Very energetic. Good vibes. Hopefully the come down doesn't take away the day being tired. Very different feeling vs. Fiji Vanua Kava Vanuatu Kava which feels good but is best end of the day. The price is a no brainer here. Tastes smooth using traditional method with warm water and coconut powder for fat. I will purchase this again. Good job folks.Update:Several months have passed giving me the opportunity to try a number of different Kava strains from different vendors. Fiji Vanua Kava is one of three vendors I buy from regularly as their Kava is tested and lab results displayed for all Kava they sell on their website. This aside, they offer a consistent, quality Kava at a fair price. Their Malo Tongan here is now one of my favorites. It is consistently heady with minimal residual come down after a heavy dose (8 tablespoons traditional prep). This would be a prep later in the day after food. On an empty stomach 5 tablespoons works great giving a nice rush, then settling into a relaxed, extended mood for the next 4 hours. No chasing dragons here. The Kavalactone quantity is on the lower side which is normal for heady Kava's but this is a mood setting Kava for a pleasant day. The brew is light, cashew in color, easier on the palate. Use a quality 75 micron bag, hot not boiling water and add a fat during your prep. Find your quite place outside and enjoy. Bula!

The Malo Tonga is an excellent kava. It's on the heavier side of balanced with tangible euphoria. I turned a friend on to kava with this one and he was pretty blown away at how nice it was. Definitely recommend.

Strong, numbing taste, great first night mixed with Vanatu, but not as strong 2nd and 3rd night. Due to taste not drinking again.

Don't know what I expected buying this. Have you ever wanted a drink that's taste how a dog smells after rolling around in mud then this is it. Didn't get a calming effect or a head buzz or anything note worthy. What I did get was dry heaves from taste and burps that taste like dirt for a few hours later.

Good price and strong

This product unfortunately makes me feel sick! I am not new to drinking Kava, but this just does not sit well with my system. Disappointing.

I am on my fourth bag of this kava and I just realized there are no reviews! I love this stuff, it is heady without causing overstimulating effects. Just a nice kava with a great buzz (good price too). I use 4 tablespoons kneaded in a strainer bag. Perfection.Update: Been drinking this for some time now - still great, no complaints here.
