Entertaining toy
Nice quality toy. Plenty of visual cards to choose from. Keeps my two year old grandson entertained for ages, while he learns new words.

At least 4 voices in this one, which breaks up the monotony a bit.
This flash card reader has a rechargeable battery, and comes with short micro-USB cable. It also comes with a lanyard which is a fairy narrow ribbon, but is long enough to go around a neck - and is possibly even long enough for a young child to wear across their body like a shoulder bag. This is the first one I've come across that has more than one voice reading the words - and the first with a male voice. In the first 10 words I tried out I think I heard three different female voices as well as a male one. Having tried out another couple of dozen cards I'm not sure whether I heard a second male as well. Some of the items use a more American name (sneakers for trainers), but they do have the British spelling for pyjamas whch is nice to see. And on the seasons cards it has Autumn rather than Fall. There are still some pronunciation failures in this one though - one I found is Sloth which is read as 'Slow'.However, in the alphabet section Zebra is said as Zeb-ra rather than the American Zee-bra which is a pleasant change to most of these devices. There's a nice selction of animals (some pets, some you'd see on a farm or in a zoo), but I was very surprised to find dinosaur included - that might have been better left for the alphabet section. All in all, I like this one. But it's a little disappointing that the price (currently £12.99) is the same as one which includes over 500 words when this only has 224. The cards also feel like they don't have as good a coating which could be needed to keep them nice (and usable) for longer.

Nice quality
It is exactly what I was looking for, to help my baby with his development, the price and quality are the best 🙌🏽 I recommend it.

A considerable number of double printed cards
The media could not be loaded. This toy was recommended to us by our pediatrician to help our little boy with his speech delay. It is a nice set, the game is very small and compact, but it contains so many cards, so a large number of words to learn because they are double printed. Thus, the child has the opportunity to learn through play, associating the images with the spoken audio words. The words are from various fields, our boy learned the numbers, fruits, vegetables, parts of the body by going through these cards. The pronunciation is clear and correct, and I am most delighted by the rechargeable character of this device, it stays on for quite a few hours a day and I should have changed lots of batteries by now.It is that type of toy ready to take anywhere with us to quench boredom due to the small space occupied. I recommend it with confidence, it is useful to anyone interested in vocabulary development, it is worth all the money.

Easy to operate with a good selection of flash cards.
The media could not be loaded. This reading machine is a great size for my 3-year-old granddaughter to handle and it looks and feels robust. The corners are all smoothly rounded and the bright yellow colour is attractive. The reader is rechargeable, so it is quite lightweight without the need for any heavy batteries. The power button is quite small and my granddaughter finds it challenging to turn on, so one of her older sisters usually turns the reader on for her. This little device is very easy to operate. A card is placed into the slot and as soon as it is fully fitted, the word on the card is spoken. The pronunciation of each word is good, but some of the voices are a little muffled and difficult to understand. You can press the left hand button on the front of the machine to repeat the word. The button on the right adjusts the volume.I have looked through all of the cards supplied with this reading machine and the 224 words (one on each side of 112 cards) are spelt in correct written English, which is very helpful. The cards cover twenty different categories and the words vary in difficulty. My granddaughter has already started to say some of the easier card words like cat and pig, as well as identifying the colours and numbers. At the moment, it is the image on the card rather than the spelt word that she is identifying with.It is early days, but I think that over time this little device will definitely help my granddaughter to learn to recognise and say a good range of new words.

Doesn’t work properly
Good idea, but it doesn’t work properly. It doesn’t read the card correctly, and the device says the wrong word.
