Great value.
My wife loves this mixer. It's much faster than the Kitchen Aid. Great product.

Hard to attach hook
The mixer is powerful, no doubt, but it is very difficult to attach the hooks to the mixer. After attaching it for a few times, it became a big struggle and we have been looking for solutions. The manual does not include any instructions on troubleshooting this problem. This is very frustrating.

can handel large amounts
I didn’t give it 5 stars because I need help on some of the functions. Have not called them because i am busy learning to bake bread and the GE can mix and knead dough beautifully. It doesn’t shake when working large amounts of dough and mixes cake and cookies with ease. The big whisk takes on meringue and whipped cream of any size.

Wow, heavy duty, but pricey
This is a heavy duty mixer. It’s very similar to a kitchenaid with the addition of being a “smart” item. It’s really heavy, heavier than my other mixer as well as tall too. If you have lower sitting top cabinets it may not fit and you’ll have to find another place to store this. The mixer functions very well and mixes nicely. The added function of having it not overmix is actually really handy when making certain recipes like a meringue. It’s pretty powerful too and can be set pretty high. I don’t think I’ve ever had to use the highest setting really, I stick to 5-6—highest maybe 7-8. It’s about as loud as I’d expect a mixer to be. It’s still good and not bothersome. Honestly you spend time in the kitchen with a bunch of kids running around, you enjoy the bit of noise. The smart settings are pretty cool, but honestly I’m not one to use it very often. It’s a preference, but I can say it’s pretty darn cool and if you are a tech wiz as well you may really enjoy the extra smart functions of the app.The weigh scale is good, but not the best. For very precise measurements it’s not good, and you’ll need to whip out your own scale for those. I like the added scale because it can come in handy, just not for smaller precise measurements. The price point is what could make it or break it for some. Regular priced at 799 is pretty steep for most people. It’s better to get it on a sale or prime day as it will price well alongside other mixers of its caliber. I still stand on kitchen aid mixers though, but this one is a competitor for certain.Everything is fairly simple to clean as with any other mixer and their attachments. I honestly enjoy this mixer better than I thought I would. In total I’d give it 4.7 stars if I could!

Premium Look and Performance
Nobody likes good stand mixers like my wife does and we have had really nice ones. Being a geek by nature and in a way by profession, I couldn't resist the appeal of a smart mixer although we didn't actually need another one and I must admit I was afraid my wife would laugh at me and tell me nicely how stupid I was. My solution? I ordered and gave it to her as a present. I knew she wouldn't say what she actually thought about it, except that I was a thoughtful husband. That was a good plan and it worked. However, I later found out that she actually loved it and the smart features even more than I did. And because it is a GE Profile product, she was delighted because our kitchen is full of products of that series. While it is not cheap, it is within the price range of other good ones we have had, and even without the smart features, it would still be comparable to the best ones in the market. It is heavy as it should be for a mixer this big, which gives us confidence that it will stay in place no matter what. The scale is very useful although it is not for very fine measurements, which is fine since baking requires some adjustments that a scale won't help that much. A good example is when you use an egg that is too big or too small for the amount of other ingredients. You will have to adjust based on your experience, not based on weight. Still, we love the built-in scale. As for the smart features, I use them about eighty percent of the time. However, my wife uses just a few of them every time and she rarely or never uses others. I believe she doesn't have the patience to use an app like I do. And unlike me she bakes every time she has an opportunity.Lastly, one of the best features for somebody who owns or owned a KitchenAid is that the attachments are compatible. We didn't have to buy anything else. As for performance, it has handled anything we have tried in the last 6+ months effortlessly. In summary, this is an excellent heavy duty stand mixer with great smart features and even without that intelligence, it is on par with the best mixers. GE Profile focuses on quality and good looks and in my opinion it aced it with this mixer. I may sound a bit like a salesman but I have no interest in promoting any product. It is that we simply and honestly loved it.

I'd give it no stars if I could
I really wanted to love this mixer. All the bells and whistles were very attractive. However, the auto sense did not work. the message was " something went wrong". then the scale wouldn't work. The mixing bowl is just too large for smaller batches, although 1 cup of butter is standard when making icing for a cake. The butter stuck to the side of the bowl and the paddle attachment wouldn't pick up the butter. I tried the whisk and what a mess. It's also inconvenient that the mixer doesn't tip backward. It's very difficult to scrape the sides of the bowl when the attachment is still on and bowl is in place, and if you take the attachment off it's very messy, then you need to remove the bowl to really get into scrape the sides.Huge dissapointment and now I have to pack it back up to return. Hard no on this product!
