Heading Over 100 years in use. Purpose Cough Suppressant Manufacturer Oakhurst Active Ingredients 1 Teaspoon: Dextromethorphan HBr 10mg Directions Shake well before using. Do not take more than six doses in 24 hours. Adults and children 12 years of age and over: 2 teaspoons every 4 hours. Children 6 years to under 12 years of age: 1 teaspoon every 4 hours. Children under 6 years of age: ask a doctor. Store in a cool place. Inactive Ingredients Cod Liver Oil; Flavors; Glycerin; Gum Arabic; Licorice; Sugar Water Uses Temporarily relieves cough due to minor throat and bronchial irritation as may occur with a cold or inhaled irritants. Warnings If you are now taking prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric or emotional conditions, or Parkinson's disease)., or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. If you are uncertain whether your prescription contains an MAOI, consult a health professional before taking this product. Ask a doctor before use if you have: a persistent or chronic cough such as occurs with smoking, asthma, emphysema; a cough accompanied by excessive phlegm (mucus). Stop use and ask a doctor if: cough persists for more than one week; cough tends to recur; cough is accompanied by fever, rash, or persistent headache. A persistent cough may be a sign of a serious condition. If pregnant or breast-feeding ask a health professional before use. Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.
