Your Brooks and Nike can be upwards of $100 or more. I've never seen a New Balance XC shoe costing more than $80. Overall it's well worth the money to purchase a good quality spike for $40 and they will last. These will last a couple of seasons if you take care of them. If they don't, no worries just purchase a new pair and go on. Not mention they do have pretty cool colors.
