Difficult to use, extremely dangerous, no instructions included and incorrect product page details
The media could not be loaded. If you are not sure about using this product yet then please see my video included in this review. The product comes with no manual, and the product page has badly documented information, I refer to the following as per my video:A) The product page states that it is all "Copper Pins": This is incorrect as the pins are not copper but rather aluminium instead.B) The product has only one side documented with "AC" on one pin and then a "+" on the other side, this gives the impression that the AC second pin on the other end (adjacent) however this is not the case and for someone who is used to electronics it could end up in a disaster to connect it that way, as per the product page the AC pins are diagonal which makes no senseC) The product page states that it is "easy to install", on the contrary it's very hard instead due to the diagonal pin configuration a circuit cannot have it's "primary" (high power) on one side and the "secondary" on the other end unless this chip is desidnged to be inserted diagnoally in, but with the pins being long time (not rounded) it makes it very difficult to mount this on.D) No instructions provided with the product. I had to rely on the product page, but doing so:E) My biggest problem is the MATH. ... the product states that 1.35 * 0.9 = 12... this is totally incorrect... the actual calculation is 1.2 instead.F) The product is sold as a 1000VAC 5A, however, the output power is 12V but the calculation leads to 1.2V, I have no idea which one is the correct one to use. After careful consideration and with all these mistakes I am unable to trust this product and therefore will not be using for now.

Good construction, generous ratings
These look to be good solid little (not so little) rectifiers - potted into a aluminium casing which (at least on the ones I tested) was electrically isolated - you'd have to refer to the datasheet for thermal performance and when to add a heatsink to these but the central through hole makes mounting straightforward. The 1000V 50A rating makes them suitable for anything UK domestic and even 3-phase use, although I don't have the capacity to test them to destruction so I can only take the manufacturer's word on the numbers.I used one to replace the rectifier in my old car battery charger (yes it's an old low-tech model) but it performed exactly as expected and resurrected the old beast, that's a thumbs-up from me.
