Really nicely made (both board and pieces), magnets strong enough to keep the pieces in place if the board gets a little nudge, but not too strong that you struggle to move them. Board completely flat with zero gap in the middle when opened.Pieces are individually stored nicely inside when not in use and the board/box fastens quite securely. 2 spare Queens included.Overall I'm very happy and would definitely recommend.ps the main picture with the stuffed toy is a bit weird, making it seem like it is just for kids, they are doing it a disservice, I've just entered my 5th decade and think it's a great set for all ages!

Lovely well made chess set. Good quality and really pleased with it. I recommend it highly.I'm not sure what Thickness and Sheerness have to do with this review though.

Good, well made product but let down by the very small, flimsly catches.

This is a lovely set. The pieces fit really well inside when folded up and the set can easily be taken from place to place. The magnetic board is great especially when playing on an uneven surface like a sofa. My 7 year old was delighted and is loving learning the game.

This chess set would be perfect as a gift for any aspiring chess player young or old. The board and pieces are of a very good quality and a perfect size for carrying to any venue.
