Great value. This crock pot is huge. I will only use to keep food warm at large gatherings. It kept food piping hot on high setting. Very nice for under 30 bucks.

NOTE: This review and rating is for the knob switch model, not the electronic programmable model.Slow cookers with low watts usage are ideal for using in an RV that has 30amps total power distribution, especially when you live in one full time. Turning this on high does not trip any circuit breakers. :)I first bought the programmable model last year to use in my RV for making soups/stews. From the beginning it was problematic: The countdown timer was way fast; it would count off 8 hrs in 7 hrs, so that my soup would not be fully cooked as I expected. It finally stopped working all together; even setting it for 14 hrs, I would come back in 3 hrs and it would be in warming mode.So, I tossed the heater outer shell part, kept the pot and lid, and ordered this model with a simple Off-Low-High switch. Works great! Now I turn it to high, check in 4 hrs and it's starting to perk (and that's starting with a quarter of the ingredients coming from the freezer) and check again in 6 hrs and and its steadily percolating around all 360° of edges. Now I get plenty of cooking time before day's end. And my soup/stew has never tasted better! :)

Nice size for a roast. Like it has warm setting; not just low and high. Easy to carry and clean.

This is such a good crock pot that this is my 2nd purchase of this exact model. Great product, easy and simple to use and huge. I would like this size in a round pot but this makes a ton of food.Like I said, this is my 2nd purchase of this one after 5 or more years of use and I will Co tinge to buy these if I can.

So, I bought this specifically to make a prawn curry.Everyone that has cooked prawns knows they are notoriously sensitive to temperature - a few degrees too low and you'll kill everyone with food poisoning and a few degrees to high and you have a bucket of rubber bands.The lowest setting on this seems to be around 125F - so not enough to cook prawns, or anything, for that matter. It's ok for using as serving temp, so, fine.But the medium setting is around 165F - WAY too high. And enough to turn my prawns into rubber bands. Probably about right for slow cooking beef and chicken, which is probably what this is aimed at, so why the High setting at all? Which seems to be more like 200F - way too hot for slow cooking.This would be better if they let you know the temperatures for each setting - and if the medium setting was more like 140, and the high was 170.I managed to get the result I wanted and made a delicious prawn curry by using a thermometer and the medium setting and checking it every 3-4 minutes for an hour or so - but that rather negates the 'set it and leave it' point of having it. Should have spent more and got something with specific temp controls. But for most people cooking less delicate foods, I'm sure it's fine. I make a rather good Nihari on the medium setting, so, it's still useful, just weird they have such a large delta between the low and medium settings.

I've only used once but it did a great job, the dish turned out great and I didn't have to heat up the house with the oven.

I have a 6 qt. crockpot but when I make vegetable soup it makes it to full. I love the bigger size of this crockpot. The crockpot liners fit it great as well for less clean up.

Makes ample food for the family. Essential kitchen tool. Easy cooking and cleaning.
