Very strong magnets

I had to purchase three sets of magnets from Amazon before I found a usable set. The trick is: like most Chinese imports the description is exaggerated and you have to buy approximately twice as strong as you need. In my case I was particularly disappointed because I really wanted the plastic grips rather than the fishing hooks. But none of those were anywhere near the advertised strength. This isn't either, but I only need half of what this one says.

Terrible item

I used this to remove a metal top from a receiver that was hard to remove without bending or scratching the top. It had sufficient pulling force for my application. Bit of you were going to pull a heavier load, I’m not sure it could pull 50 pounds. You’d have to be sure it was a very straight pull. This is probably the case for the various manufacturers of magnets.
