Met our airline needs perfectly
I flew with my 14lb Chiweenie mix for the first time and we used this carrier for the trip. I've never bought a soft-sided carrier, so I had no idea what I was doing, but I'm glad I picked this one. It is surprisingly good quality for the price, and I love that there is a lifetime replacement guarantee, you don't see that often. The bag held up well on our cross country flight, the zippers do stick a bit, but otherwise no issues. The fleece pad at the bottom is not very thick, so I folded a fleece blanket up and my dog was very comfortable. I was worried about him fitting in a carrier under the seat because he's so long as a daschund mix, but he fit just fine as you can see in the photos, getting comfy enough even to roll on his back and nap on the way home (thanks benadryl!).I can't carry him in it however, or it just folds up on him and he gets anxiety when it tilts to the side, so I had to let him walk in the airport and then just carry the bag. It fit under the seat pretty well as you can see (sorry my purse is in the way in front of the entrance) but does have to be smashed down a little bit to fit, there is extra space on the sides but not the top under the chair. I like the pocket on the side, it was convenient for carrying his pet approval paperwork from the airlines in.The strap is not padded, so if you have a heavier dog or sensitive shoulder, you are going to want to get some padding for it if you're carrying the dog in it on your shoulder because it's just hard rubber on the strap. I recommend you make sure to shut the zippers all the way or even if there is a little open space your dog can force his nose out of it and open the bag and escape (which mine did, right out into the aisle out the back!). It's lightweight and breathable with the mesh on the top and sides which allowed him to see me and not be too nervous in the carrier. So in summation, we had a great experience, it met our needs exactly, there has been no issue or problem with the bag, and it was fine for airline use because it fits under the seat. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is traveling with a pet, especially if it's small but not tiny, like my dog. If anything changes or this bag wears out and needs to be replaced, I will update my review to reflect this new information.

Great, sturdy Carrier
I have had this carrier for 6 months now. We use it every day. We take our 15 pound Cavapoo with us every day. We use this carrier to transport in the car. We call it his RV for mobility since he has a crate that stays at home as his bed. This carrier is roomy enough that he can still turn around but not so much space to be floppy. The handles have not worn or ripped or pulled away at all. There are zippers at both ends but we usually use the full zipper to open up for him to get in and out of. The zippers have held up quite well. It is easy to carry (for us) and easy to get in and out of (for him). I am very pleased with the quality and durability. He will even get inside just to sleep while we are at work. We say RV and he goes running inside, he loves this carrier so much! Highly recommended and well worth the money.

I like this carrier..
... but it didn't hold up to a miniature dachshund. First, the good things: this carrier is light, well made, easy to get into action, one end opens fully onto a better than expected removable pad, the other opens enough for pet's head to get out, VERY well ventilated and surprisingly stable when carrying pet inside. I bought 2, one dachshund was fine with it, got in, settled down, went promptly to sleep. Now the bad: the other dachshund went smooth crazy, overheated himself, became completely frantic and finally chewed his way out the expensive end of the netting and got loose in the car. That prompted the other dachshund to start the same program, but he was not as motivated and was not successful in getting out but was successful in getting overheated and we had to take him out as well.To be fair, I did not give the dogs sedatives like I should have and neither has taken trips any farther than cruising down the seawall with the windows down, leashed with head out the window and neither has any carrier experiences. I think at first the escape artist thought he was going to the vet. Then when the car didn't stop in the length of time he thought it should take to get to the vet, he began to suspect he was going to the shelter to be euthanized, so the mammalian survival mode ramped up.The one carrier is in rags, the other in fine condition, and I do recommend them for the price, but be a responsible owner, unlike I apparently am, and get your animals ready in stages or with medicine for a confinement of more than half an hour or so, don't just toss them in unprepared and hit the road for 6 hours.

Comfortable Carrier
I bought this for my kitten who was getting fixed. I had to give him treats to get comfortable being inside the carrier. The carrier itself is super comfy. It comes with a replaceable bed and a hard lining with Velcro on the bottom of it. The Velcro sticks to the floor of the carrier very well. On the way to the vet my kitten was scared (obviously) and was scratching the carrier like crazy! Poor guy... but the carrier held up! It didn't budge, rip, unzip. Oh! And the other thing I love about this carrier is the zippers. There's a large zipper that opens the carrier whole, but on the other side there is a smaller zipper that opens it just a bit. There is also a side zipper pocket for other things I'm sure, but I didn't see any use to it YET. There is a regular duffel bag style straps, you can carry it by hand or over the shoulder. My kitten seemed very comfortable in it even going to the vet, but especially afterwards when he was done with surgery he seemed very comfy inside the carrier. I highly recommend this carrier as it fit PERFECT for us both.
